Fantasy Football NFL Week 12 Target Report: Anthony Richardson Now Starting
Fantasy football is constantly testing us. Injuries are a threat every single week. The trade deadline brings upheaval. Now we’ve got a week with SIX teams on bye week. And the firing of coaches and benching of quarterbacks has already begun.
Winning a fantasy football championship is truly a gauntlet. That’s why we’re here with the target report to keep you plugged in to everything happening for every NFL team in terms of their pass attack. So, let’s dive into the numbers and stay ahead of the game!
2024 Fantasy Football NFL Week 12 Target Report Preview
Why do we do this? Well, historically incredibly rare for a team to have three players all get 100+ targets. It’s happened only once over the last three years and less than 3% of the time over the last five years.
More teams will have ZERO players get 100+ targets than have three. And, last year, every top 24 WR except one got 100+ targets (and that was Deebo Samuel who scored 5 rushing touchdowns). That’s why the NFL Fantasy Football Week 12 Target Report is so important.
In the chart below you will see our PROJECTION for what we believe will happen. That projection is a mix of what we are seeing on the field, who is actually healthy, and what we predict for the rest of the season.
Naturally, that is going to change from week to week and it’s important to check the notes section at the bottom as to why. Our 2024 NFL Fantasy Football Week 12 Target Report has a note for every single team. So let’s take a look!

Fantasy Football Week 12 Target Report Advice & Takeaways
NOTE: If a team moved from where they were in the Week 11 NFL target report, they will be denoted with ***
Clear Top Two
Arizona Cardinals
- Trey McBride
- Marvin Harrison Jr
- No change here - McBride and Marvin are both just barely on pace for 100+ targets but they are the clear top two options. No one else is close.
Atlanta Falcons
- Drake London
- Darnell Mooney
- Mooney suffered a hamstring injury that caused him to leave the game this past week but word is that it’s not serious. That could still cause him to miss time but it’s at least not the variety that requires surgery or an IR stint. Khadarel Hodge would pick up snaps in his absence. In a golden opportunity this past week, Kyle Pitts let us down. Which has been the story with him.
Cincinnati Bengals
- Ja'Marr Chase
- Tee Higgins
- In PPR points per game, Ja'Marr Chase is the WR1 and Tee Higgins is the WR6. Chris Godwin sits at three but is out for the season so they can technically both be considered top five in that regard. We just need Tee Higgins to stay healthy but he showed this week just how good he can be. The other guys like Mike Gesicki and Andrei Iosivas take a big step back when he’s playing.
Jacksonville Jaguars
- Brian Thomas Jr
- Evan Engram
- It’s hard to call anyone a “stud” with Mac Jones at QB. But Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis are both out for the season. There was already a clear top two at the top and now it is more clear than ever.
Kansas City Chiefs
- Travis Kelce
- DeAndre Hopkins
- It’s been a couple tough matchups in a row here for DeAndre Hopkins but we have faith that he and Travis Kelce can offer some consistency for fantasy football moving forward. Xavier Worthy remains more of a DFS dart throw as a boom/bust field stretcher. JuJu Smith-Schuster returns this week and will likely operate out of the slot in a part-time role.
Las Vegas Raiders
- Brock Bowers
- Jakobi Meyers
- Bowers is obviously on an incredible pace for anyone, not just a rookie tight end. To be on a 100 target pace through 10 games you need 59 targets and Jakobi Meyers has that despite missing two games. He’s a pretty solid option in PPR formats.
Los Angeles Rams
- Puka Nacua
- Cooper Kupp
- These two are the clear top dogs. Demarcus Robinson is the third fiddle wide receiver in need of a dart throw. Davis Allen has recently surpassed Colby Parkinson on the tight end depth chart but still isn’t particularly trustworthy, as we saw this week. Tyler Higbee could also return down the stretch.
New York Giants
- Malik Nabers
- Wan’Dale Robinson
- We’ll have to see what the change from Daniel Jones to Tommy DeVito does to this pecking order. But Nabers (91) and Wan’dale (79) have racked up enough targets already that it’s hard to see them not cracking 100. As we do though, if the situation changes drastically, we’ll make adjustments here as well. Keep an eye on Theo Johnson and Tyrone Tracy with a less mobile QB at the helm.
Philadelphia Eagles
- AJ Brown
- DeVonta Smith
- Dallas Goedert only has 36 targets on the season though he has dealt with some injuries AJ Brown has played the same number of games than him and has 12 more targets. Oddly, no one is on pace to have 100+ targets as of now but they are good enough that they are capable of covering ground quickly over 7 games.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Mike Evans
- Cade Otton
- We still need to see a Cade Otton game with Mike Evans back. But barring a big jump from the likes of Jalen McMillan, Otton should remain a top two target with this team. Which is all we need for upside at the tight end position.
High Consolidation
Cleveland Browns
- Cedric Tillman
- David Njoku
- Elijah Moore
- Jerry Jeudy
- We talked about this last week, essentially saying that any one of these four could lead the team in targets in any given week. So, sure enough, it was a big week for Jerry Jeudy after Njoku, Tillman, and Moore each had their chance at the top. As long as Jameis Winston is playing up-tempo and throwing a ton, they are all worth a start. Just know that, in situations like these, down games can be down games for everyone.
Houston Texans
- Nico Collins
- Tank Dell
- Dalton Schultz
- Nico Collins is back and he's a must-start for fantasy football. He’s top five in PPR points per game this season and he just showed again last week why. Tank Dell is towards the fringe of startable and Dalton Schultz is a tough play with both WRs healthy again. Even without Stefon Diggs.
Miami Dolphins
- Tyreek Hill
- Jaylen Waddle
- De’Vone Achane
- Jonnu Smith
- Don’t look now but Jonnu Smith’s snaps have risen as of late, especially late week when he played a season high 81%. With fullback Alec Ingold out they have asked some of the tight ends to pick up additional snaps in the backfield here and there to help out. Don’t look now but Jonnu and Achane have quietly out-targeted Jaylen Waddle on the season. Waddle started his career with three straight 1,000 yard seasons but only has 404 so far this year.
New York Jets
- Davante Adams
- Garrett Wilson
- Breece Hall
- Breece Hall is technically not on pace for 100+ targets but there is a big enough gap from these three to everyone else that they belong in this section. The wheels are falling off but the ball is still flying.
San Francisco 49ers
- Deebo Samuel
- George Kittle
- Christian McCaffrey
- Jauan Jennings
- Just as we all expected, Jauan Jennings leads the 49ers in targets through 10 games. Injuries have plagued all of their players but the end result here is that Jennings and Deebo have the full-time outside roles, Ricky Pearsall is now in Jennings’s old role, Kittle will be back to his job soon (hopefully), and CMC has returned. Targets should once again be spread out.
One Stud, Then Uncertainty
Baltimore Ravens
- Zay Flowers
- With Isaiah Likely back in the mix, this team is back to a rotation at both tight end and wide receiver. Diontae Johnson has been slow to get ramped up. Zay Flowers is locked in and, for the time being at least, Rashod Bateman makes for a weekly streaming option.
Chicago Bears
- DJ Moore
- DJ Moore is sitting at 70 targets which is on pace for 100+. The others are shy of that pace with Rome Oduzne sitting at 58 through 10 games and Keenan Allen at 52 playing 8. Cole Kmet only has 37 targets in 10 games so he’s a TD dependent option. It would likely take an injury for someone besides Moore to be trustworthy.
Dallas Cowboys
- CeeDee Lamb
- CeeDee Lamb has already cracked 100 targets on the season. But he was always a lock for 125+. Jake Ferguson was not on pace and now he enters concussion protocol. Luke Schoonmaker got 10 targets in his absence so Ferg probably would have had a decent day. Schoonmaker might be a spot start if Ferg does not clear by Sunday. They just opened the 21 day window for Brandin Cooks to return so maybe sneak
Denver Broncos
- Courtland Sutton
- The Broncos continue to use Courtland Sutton as a focal point then rotate everyone else. Devaughn Vele has played the second most snaps the last two weeks but Josh Reynolds could return this week and Vele was inactive for many of those games. Reynolds is the only other WR to play 80% of the snaps for this team in a game besides Courtland Sutton and that was back in Week 1. He was placed on IR with a finger injury in Week 5 and was shot multiple times in an altercation at a local Denver establishment but is expected to return as soon as this week.
Detroit Lions
- Amon Ra St. Brown
- There’s really no other way to categorize this one. Amon-Ra St. Brown has 70 targets and no one else has more than 40. It’s simply not what we expected from Sam LaPorta. And Jameson Williams, despite his big plays, has not proven to be consistent from week to week.
Indianapolis Colts
- Michael Pittman
- Josh Downs had a good game, for sure. But he still only got five targets. I need to see at least another game here with Downs heavily involved. Michaell Pittman still got eight targets despite the switch from Flacco to Richardson so he’s still a top dog. Alec Pierce is a field stretcher that could hit a big play any given week but he doesn’t offer much consistency.
Los Angeles Chargers
- Ladd McConkey
- Ladd McConkey is the only one that currently clears our target threshold of 100. But the Chargers have stepped up their pass attack lately which has seen Quentin Johnston and Will Dissly enter the streaming fray. These guys have to be rostered, especially with all the bye weeks to close out the fantasy football regular season.
Minnesota Vikings
- Justin Jefferson
- Justin Jefferson has 86 targets so he clears by a decent margin but no other Vikings player has more than 40. T.J. Hockenson has yet to clear a 50% snap share in his three games back and it’s yet to be seen if this load management will continue or if he’ll get ramped up. The team has been deploying heavy tight end sets as of late so no one besides Jefferson played over 60% of the snaps this week.
New Orleans Saints
- Alvin Kamara
- Rashid Shaheed is done, Chris Olave is on IR, so is Bub means. The target leaders are Kamara (71), Juwan Johnson (31), then Mason Tipton and Taysom Hill each with 24. Taysom is startable because of his unique deployment but the others are not.
Pittsburgh Steelers
- George Pickens
- George Pickens is by far the lead dog here - he has 75 targets and Pat Freiermuth is second with 34. Mike Williams is the biggest threat to step up but he only got up to a 32% snap share this week so time is running out.
Tennessee Titans
- Calvin Ridley
- We can’t ignore Nick Westbrook-Ikhine-Ikhine’s ability to find the endzone at this stage. Not to mention, the schedule for the Titans is pretty good down the stretch. NWI’s usage has picked up as of late so he should be considered in deeper leagues. Ridley is the only guy you can truly trust though.
Washington Commanders
- Terry McLaurin
- Ridley is the only one on pace for 100+ targets. And he’s just barely there. Guys like Zach Ertz and Noah Brown are fringe starters though, especially with all the bye weeks this week. They have their bye in Week 14.
Too Many Mouths To Feed?
Buffalo Bills
- Amari Cooper
- Dalton Kincaid
- Khalil Shakir
- Keon Coleman
- James Cook
- The Bills will be on bye again this week and, hopefully, we will see a healthy squad when they get back. We’ve yet to see a game where everyone is healthy here following the Amari Cooper trade so it’s tough to decipher the true pecking order. Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid remain the target leaders as of now. Amari Cooper is the obvious upside play the rest of the way though.
Green Bay Packers
- Jayden Reed
- Romeo Doubs
- Christian Watson
- Tucker Kraft
- Josh Jacobs
- Emmanuel Wilson
- Dontayvion Wicks
- Luke Musgrave (OUT)
- We’re about 60% of the way through the season and no player on the Packers has 50 targets. It’s been a combination of a run heavy scheme and having enough weapons where things are too spread out. Jayden Reed is the best bet in fantasy because he also gets carries each week. Romeo Doubs has consistent snaps while Christian Watson is a boom/bust option that needs a big play. Tucker Kraft put up a zero last week and faces arguably the toughest matchup for tight ends next week.
Seattle Seahawks
- DK Metcalf
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- Tyler Lockett
- Noah Fant
- Kenneth Walker
- DK Metcalf has been the top dog here but it’s clear at this stage that Jaxon Smith-Njigba has surpassed Tyler Lockett on the pecking order. Lockett remains in flex consideration as he could have a decent game at any given time but JSN and DK are locked in.
Wide Open
Carolina Panthers
- Coming out of the bye week we will be getting Adam Thielen and Tommy Tremble back. Which is not good news for rookies Jalen Coker and Ja’Tavion Sanders. It will likely be Thielen opposite Xavier Legette as the full-time WRs but we don’t know for sure how they plan to deploy these guys. Or who will get the targets. I would love for the young guys to keep getting a shot in a lost season but that’s not always how it works.
New England Patriots
- Still no one on pace for 100+ targets here but Hunter Henry is close - 65 would be the mark through 11 games and he’s sitting at 61. Demario Douglas also has 58 though he’s still playing a part time slot role. Kayshon Boutte has come on as of late, leading the team in snaps each week since Drake Maye took over. He and Henry are probably the most interesting names right now.
