2024 Player Outlook
Troy Franklin was a fairly highly touted receiving prospect coming into the draft which is why it was so surprising that he fell all the way down to the fourth round on day three. He has the height, he has the speed, he even has the production but the concerns seem to stem from his lack of mass at only 176 pounds making him a fairly low BMI player. The Eagles Devonta Smith has become the prototype for this type of physical build so we have seen success at the NFL level. The other concern we sometimes see from guys playing with QBs that get drafted is whether their college success can be attributed more to them or more to the ability of the QB or offense. That might not necessarily be a problem, however, as both Oregon's Bo Nix and Franklin were drafted by the Denver Broncos. And, with the departure of Jerry Jeudy, there could be an opportunity for those two to make a connection on Sundays right away.
