2024 Player Outlook
Samuel finished the 2023 season as WR13 in points per game in PPR league formats as he finished with 60 receptions for 892 yards and seven scores while adding 225 yards and five more touchdowns on the ground. It's likely that we will never see the 2021 version of Samuel again, the 1,400 yard season is a distant memory, especially with the addition of Christian McCaffrey and the continued emergence of Brandon Aiyuk. The 2024 NFL Draft also saw the 49ers draft receiver Ricky Pearsall in the first round with rumors that the 49ers were in the market to trade one of Samuel or Ayiuk at some point during the offseason. As of now, everyone is still on the roster and Samuel is an exciting player who will get his opportunities to produce which should continue to slot him in as a strong WR2 option.
