2024 Player Outlook

Brian Robinson retained his job as Washington's starting running back in 2023 and also increased his usage in the passing game going from only 12 targets in 2022 to 43 in 2023. Antonio Gibson still led in that category however and the Commanders did bring in Austin Ekeler for that role this year. Ekeler is familiar with Commanders' running back coach Anthony Lynn from their time together with the Chargers and they've hinted at a split similar to the one we saw between Ekeler and Melvin Gordon during those year. Being the bruiser back in a split backfield with a mobile, rookie quarterback might not be the ideal set up for fantasy football production.
