ESPN’s Brady Henderson believes seventh-round RB Damien Martinez “has a clear path” to a roster spot.

Kenny McIntosh (knee) tore his ACL over the weekend and Martinez could claim his roster spot. The seventh-rounder out of Miami drew some praise from coach Mike Macdonald, who said “I had a feeling that he would show up a little bit more with the pads [on], so hopefully that trend continues.” Martinez isn’t a real fantasy factor without injuries ahead of him, but if he wins this role he’ll make for a nice stash in dynasty leagues.

The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar reports that he’s yet to see the Seahawks install any designed runs for Jalen Milroe.

“Instead,” Dugar writes, “he’s being brought along as a legitimate dropback passer, just like Darnold and Lock.” Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald praised Milroe’s advancement in the dropback game, saying his eyes are “in the right spot, more consistently. He could probably go into detail. It just seems to me like it’s a quicker delivery. The footwork is starting to match the routes and the concepts.” This is a good update for Milroe’s future, but his fantasy viability will take a knock if Seattle isn’t willing to use him as a designed runner.

Seahawks RB Kenny McIntosh (knee) was carted off the field in practice Saturday.

Fellow running backs Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet were seen talking to the third-year running back as he was helped onto the cart during a camp practice Saturday, with initial testing revealing a potentially torn ACL. McIntosh was set to enter the 2025 regular season third on the team’s depth chart, also a regular contributor on special teams. There is the potential for the team to explore free agent help at the position considering the general lack of depth behind Walker and Charbonnet following McIntosh’s injury.

Seahawks team reporter John Boyle said Elijah Arroyo “looks like a playmaker” after two training camp practices.

Boyle writes, Arroyo, AJ Barner, and Eric Saubert have all “made plays in the first two days of camp,” but Arroyo “has been particularly impressive in the passing game.” Arroyo notably bested CB Riq Woolen on one play, using “a combination of concentration and good hands.” The rookie is off to a good start.
