2024 Player Outlook
Expectations for Dotson were certainly higher heading into 2023 after we saw him find the end zone seven times during his rookie season over just 12 games. Unfortunately that just wasn't the case as Dotson, playing a full 17 games, managed just 49 receptions for 518 yards and four scores on an offense that attempted more passes than anyone in football. Now, we head into the 2024 season with a new head coach, new offensive coordinator in Kliff Kingsbury and a new starting QB in second overall pick Jayden Daniels. Dotson is coming off the board as WR63 and could turn into one of the better bounce back sleeper candidates in fantasy this season if things click in Washington this season with their new look offense.

Jahan Dotson caught 2-of-3 targets for 42 yards in the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory over the Chiefs.
Dotson got tackled at the Chiefs’ one-yard line in the second quarter. It would have been his first touchdown all year. A 2022 first-round bust in Washington, Dotson was acquired for a bag of footballs in August and proceeded to catch 19 passes in 17 games for the Eagles’ dominant but top-heavy offense. Although he was the nominal “No. 3 wideout,” the reality is that role does not exist in a statistical sense in Philadelphia. We wouldn’t consider it a guarantee Dotson is back for 2025, especially since his snaps grew more sporadic as the season progressed. He also earned poor PFF marks for his blocking. The 24-year-old just can’t seem to find his NFL niche.
Jahan Dotson caught 1-of-2 targets for 11 yards and a touchdown in Philadelphia’s Wild Card Round win over the Packers.
We haven’t blurbed Dotson since Week 14, though he did manage a 7/94/0 on 11 targets in Philadelphia’s Week 18 scrimmage against the Giants. It was his only game of the season with more than four targets. Anyway, in the Wild Card Round Dotson had the fortune of running a route over the middle as the Packers allowed Jalen Hurts roughly 6.7 seconds to scan and consider the field before finding Dotson uncovered in a hole in the zone coverage. We wouldn’t hold on to this touchdown as a meaningful thing, but clearly per the rules of the internet, the Eagles have won the trade.
Jahan Dotson caught 1-of-2 targets for five yards in Philadelphia’s Week 14 win over the Panthers.
Effectively splitting the third-wideout role with Johnny Wilson, Dotson was out-snapped 29-to-24. Dotson did out-target Wilson 2-to-1. These numbers all amount to neither player being startable in fantasy football leagues. Dotson has not seen as many as three targets in a game since Week 6.
Jahan Dotson caught his only target for seven yards in the Eagles’ Week 13 win over the Ravens.
Dotson was a non-factor even with DeVonta Smith out for the second week in a row. The Eagles’ No. 2 receiver with Smith sidelined is Dallas Goedert. Fantasy managers can continue to ignore Dotson with or without Smith on the field.
