2024 Player Outlook
You would have been hard pressed to find anyone who was 100% buying in on Adam Thielen going from the Vikings to the Panthers last season and yet the veteran WR had a big year, catching 103 passes for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns. In terms of fantasy points per game in PPR leagues Thielen finished the year as WR17. So, now we look towards 2024 and ask ourselves whether or not we believe he is capable of repeating. He is currently coming off the board as WR65 which is the WR2 on the Panthers offense as the newly signed Diontae Johnson is being drafted as WR37. The Panthers also used the last pick in the first round to draft receiver Xavier Legette. With more offensive talent now available at wide receiver we have to assume there will be some drop off in production for Thielen here this season and though he's essentially being drafted as a WR5/6. I'd rather take some chances on higher upside plays in this range.
