2024 Player Outlook
As expected, the rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the odd man out for two wide receiver sets behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett in his first season. he made the most of those opportunities with 63 catches for 628 yards and four touchdowns in his first season. We believe the first round pick has the talent to be an every down player in the NFL but the question is when. Much like JSN, Chris Godwin was stuck behind Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson early in his career which delayed his breakout until Year 3.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught 3-of-6 targets for 32 yards in the Seahawks’ week 17 win over the Bears.

Things started off hot for Smith-Njigba in the first half as he served as the featured player through the air. Things then took a drastic turn in the third quarter when Geno Smith was forced from the game with a knee injury, with Sam Howell then filling in under center for the remainder of the game. Even so, Smith-Njigba has seen his role grow immensely ever sinve DK Metcalf missed two games in Week 8 and Week 9, now responsible with a primary pass-catching role for a team near the top of the league in pass attempts per game. Fantasy managers will want to track the status of Smith as a Week 16 matchup against the Vikings appraoches.
