The fact that Will Dissly is even still playing football is a testament to modern medicine. Not only did he suffer a torn Achilles and a torn patella tendon, his broken leg in 2022 where he broke the top part of his fibula was described by Pete Carrol as "an injury they have never seen before". Yet Dissly was able to play 16 games in 2023 as part of Shane Waldron's tight end rotation and he'll join the Los Angeles Chargers to compete for a role until Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman in 2024.
