No fantasy manager with their salt was still starting Kmet, so his one-yard score fell on deaf ears. Kmet’s 6/49/1 stat line over his past four games would be a normal day for the league’s better tight ends. The fact that he needs a month to amass those stats tells you all you need to know about his fantasy outlook heading into Week 17.

Kmet’s 63:1 snap-to-target ratio is elite, in some sense of the word. He’s not a recommended fantasy play at this point in the season. Kmet has gone over five targets in a game once since Week 3, as compared to four separate games with one or zero targets.

This is the second time Kmet has finished with zero targets in a game this season. The 49ers’ defense deserves credit for their dominant showing but Kmet deserves blame for his own failings in this one. Kmet faces the Vikings in Week 15, the team he shockingly totaled 10 targets against in Week 12. Fantasy managers should treat him as an exceptionally volatile TE1/2 for the occasion.
