2024 Player Outlook

CeeDee Lamb had an absolutely MASSIVE season in 2023, finishing ahead of both Josh Allen and Christian McCaffrey as the overall #1 player in PPR. His role is perfect for racking up a league-leading 181 targets as he ran the fourth most routes of any wide receiver from the slot last year while moving to the outside for two wide receiver sets. The Cowboys did very little to add weapons this offseason while also losing Michael Gallup so I don't see a world where he isn't heavily featured in the passing game once again in 2024.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports the Cowboys have restructured CeeDee Lamb’s contract to create $20 million of salary-cap space.

Lamb’s base salary of $26.85 million will be cut thoroughly, adding money on to future years of his contract as a signing bonus as NFL team’s traditionally do. This could be a precursor to an aggressive Cowboys move. But with Dallas currently hanging just barely under the cap before the Osa Odighizuwa extension hits the books officially, it could also just be the Cowboys creating operating room for the beginning of the offseason.

CeeDee Lamb caught 7-of-8 targets for 105 yards in the Cowboys’ Week 16 win over the Buccaneers.

Lamb caught six passes for 90 yards in the first half before falling hard on his injured shoulder, after which point he managed just two additional targets and one additional catch. His big first half still led to over 100 yards through the air even with the minimal work after the break, enough to return a usable fantasy score for managers banking on his production in the fantasy semi-finals. His status moving forward will require monitoring considering his limited usage in the second half ahead of a showdown with the Eagles in Week 17.

CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 16 against the Bucs.

Per usual, Lamb got a light workload in practice but is good to go for Week 16. Cooper Rush imploded in his first start but has since stabilized as a capable distributor. Lamb is averaging seven catches for 82 yards over his past five games, keeping him well within the WR1 ranks for his matchup with a dreadful Bucs defense.
