2024 Player Outlook
There wasn't a whole lot to love for rookie Quentin Johnston in 2023. First off, he failed to beat out Josh Palmer for the WR3 chair so his snaps were very limited early on. Then, over the second half of the season after injuries to Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, he did play 80%+ of the snaps in eight games and didn't make much of his opportunity. He did at least have his best game of the season with a 91 yard performance in Week 14 before Justin Herbert missed the rest of the year. It's not fair to call a first round pick a bust after just one season so the upside is there but it's hard to get overly excited him in the new "smash mouth" offense that Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman are bringing to town. Especially after that first season.
