2023 Fantasy Football Week 1 IDP Report: IDP Weekly Rankings & Injury Updates

The 2023 NFL Season is finally upon us! In coming weeks, this space will profile those defensive players on the rise, those that are dropping like rocks and not worthy of roster space, as well as suggestions on which teams to target when setting your lineup or making free agent decisions. This week, however, without much actual game action to review, we will simply present the top IDP in the LB, DL and DB categories, for the Week 1 contests only and present this week’s injury report Week 2 this article will be chock full of detailed IDP suggestions to assist your efforts to set your IDP lineups.

All the injury reports below need evaluation prior to kickoff.  Teams are notoriously sketchy about injury reports, and we often do not know a player's status until just before game time. Consider the list below as a "heads up" as to what is going on early in the week, and should not be considered definitive.
