Jaguars activated CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring) from injured reserve.
Campbell will make his long-awaited return to the starting roster after suffering a significant hamstring injury in Week 1 that required a stint on injured reserve. The Jaguars began the season playing the highest rate of man coverage in the league before injuries derailed their plans, with Campbell’s return coming at the perfect time amidst a league-worst 276.7 pass yards allowed per game.
Jaguars designated CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring) for return.
Campbell suffered his hamstring injury in the Jaguars’ Week 1 loss to the Dolphins and hasn’t been seen since. This recent designation gives the team 21 days to decide whether to activate him or sideline him for the season. The Jaguars made Campbell one of the highest-paid corners in the league earlier this offseason when they signed him to a four-year, $76.5 million extension. He’s eligible to be activated at any time.

Campbell will not be available to return for four weeks. The 24-year-old corner picked up his hamstring injury during Sunday’s Week 1 loss to the Dolphins, and now won’t be back until Week 6 at the earliest.
Jaguars HC Doug Pedersen told reporters Monday that Tyson Campbell “will miss some time” with his hamstring injury.
Campbell was signed to a $76.5 million extension this summer, but the 24-year-old will not be available in the Jaguars secondary for the next few weeks, at the least. The good news for the Jaguars is that they will face a Browns passing game that looked anemic during their loss to the Cowboys, but now they’ll be counting on lesser-known entities like Montaric Brown and Jarrian Jones instead of Campbell.
