Saints LB Andrew Dowell (knee) out for season with torn ACL.
The former undrafted free agent worked his way onto the active roster for the Saints in 2022, appearing in all 17 games a season ago. He was expected to contribute regularly on the defensive side in the coming season but will now miss the entirety of the 2023 season after suffering a torn ACL in camp.
Dowell (hamstring) had a workout with the Packers on Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Dowell was waived off the Cowboys' injured reserve with an injury settlement in mid-August and now appears recovered from the hamstring injury. The undrafted rookie out of Michigan State will continue his search for a new team.
The Cowboys waived Dowell (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Saturday, per the official league transactions report.
Dowell suffered the hamstring injury during the first week of training camp. The undrafted rookie out of Michigan State will work to get fully healthy and latch on elsewhere in the league.
Dowell (hamstring) landed on the Cowboys' injured reserve list Friday, per the NFL communication's official transaction log.
Dowell reverted to IR after no teams claimed him off waivers. The 22-year-old now faces the possibility of spending the rest of the year there unless both parties reach an agreement on an injury settlement.
