Giants EDGE Brian Burns (ankle) is active for Week 16 against the Falcons.
Brian Burns (ankle) is questionable for Week 16 against the Falcons.
Two of the Giants’ best remaining defenders are questionable to play this week. Burns managed just one limited practice (Friday) while CB Deonte Banks (rib) remained limited all week. Both players are at risk of missing Michael Penix’s first career start, elevating his fantasy-scoring potential.
Giants coach Brian Daboll said EDGE Brian Burns (ankle) is “day to day.”
Burns told reporters he had his ankled rolled on “pretty bad” on Sunday. He wasn’t spotted at Wednesday’s practice. His status for Week 16 is obviously in doubt. Even if he could push through the injury, the Giants have their sights set on the No. 1 overall pick, so there’s no reason to rush Burns back.
Giants LB Brian Burns (groin/hamstring) was removed from the injury report and will play against the Steelers in Week 8.
Burns had a tumultuous week of practice and was downgraded to a ‘DNP’ Friday but will ultimately play against the Steelers for a Giants defense near the league-lead in pressure rate and sacks. Burns went into Week 7 listed as questionable but also suited up in that game.
