Davis made the Rams in 2013 as a UDFA back when the team was still in St. Louis. The 34-year-old vet started in five of the 144 games he appeared in for his career, and has spent the last four seasons with the Patriots. His lone touchdown came in 2023 against the Broncos when he recovered a fumbled kickoff for a one-yard score in Week 16.

A core special teamer, Davis was limited to six games by a knee injury last season. Going on an ancient 34, Ford probably isn't guaranteed to make the 53-man roster after last year's injury issues. It would be his fourth season in New England. 

Davis, a special teams ace for New England, will undergo season-ending knee surgery after a Week 6 injury against the Browns. Davis had six special teams tackles on 99 snaps through six games this season. It's a big loss for the Patriots. 

Davis hasn't played on defense this year but is a consistent special teams contributor. He has six total tackles on 99 special teams snaps this year.
