Giants coach Brian Daboll said CB Aaron Robinson (knee/IR) is doubtful to return this season.
Placed on IR on October 4, Robinson suffered the knee injury in Week 4 and has not been spotted on the practice field since. If Daboll is right to be doubtful, Robinson will enter year three of his rookie contract in 2022 as a competitor for a cornerback job rather than an established piece of the Giants defense. He finishes 2022 with six tackles in two starts.
Giants placed Aaron Robinson (knee) on injured reserve.
He'll miss at least the next four weeks. Robinson bent his knee awkwardly in Week 4's win over the Bears. He'd produced a 73.2 PFF coverage grade through his first two games of the season. The Giants are besieged with secondary injuries and will likely have to turn to the deep bench to replace Robinson in Week 5, likely using Fabian Moreau extensively.
Aaron Robinson (knee) left the Giants’ Week 4 game against the Bears and is questionable to return.
Robinson suffered what looked like a scary injury after bending awkwardly. He was able to walk off the field slowly under his own power.
Giants CB Aaron Robinson (appendectomy) is out for Week 2 against the Panthers.
A third-round pick last year, Robinson is the Giants' starting corner opposite Adoree' Jackson and graded out as New York's top cover man at Pro Football Focus last week against the Titans. It's a big loss with D.J. Moore and Robbie Anderson on deck. Darnay Holmes and third-round rookie Cor'Dale Flott will have to pick up the slack.
