NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Wednesday Playbook

I absolutely LOVE seeing LaMelo Ball get up to 40 minutes. Absolutely love it. Love it love it love it. Ball has nuked back-to-back slates and at max minutes and a 30% USG or better, the ceiling should persist here again against the 29th ranked defense of the Utah Jazz.

Since returning from his shoulder injury, Ja Morant has posted a 39, 31, and 44% USG rate in the three games he's played. Morant finally made shots in his last game and went for 45 DKP. That scoring upside at this price stands out in GPPs like a sore thumb.

Minutes. Minutes minutes minutes minutes. When FVV makes shots, he has a big ceiling. When he does, well, he has a very low floor, but he'll be on the floor a LOT.

It was Jamal Murray's night on Tuesday, but could you see a scenario in which Amen Thompson draws that assignment tonight, right? That puts the Westbrook-Jokic duo back in play. Westbrook had 49 and 62 DKP in the two games prior to Tuesday night.

We haven't seen Cole Anthony's production drop off at all since Paolo Banchero returned as his USG has stayed above 24% in each game and he's put up 36+ DKP. The minutes have been great and they'll need his offense until they get Franz Wagner back. 

I don't think you can expect another dominant offensive performance out of Stephon Castle again, but last game flashed the upside he has in his game. Without Jeremy Sochan, Castle likely starts again and he has a 22.8% USG and averages .87 FP/min. Great pace up spot for SA.

Anthony Edwards has clearly hit his stride lately scoring 30+ actual points in four of six with a 41 and 53 actual point game mixed in. He plays max minutes, has max usage, and this is actually a great spot as the Warriors rank 25th defensively over their last 15 games.

Another Rocket with all the minutes. He's played 41 in three of four and the only reason the 4th was 36 was because foul trouble. In the three games he's played 40+ minutes he's had 19+ double-doubles and at least 49 DKP. He's a FP/min monster.

We pay so much attention to everything else going on in New Orleans and quietly, Trey Murphy has back-to-back 30+ point games and has 37+ DKP in seven straight and in nine of 10. Zion in or out it hasn't mattered. Without Ingram and Herb Jones this year, Murphy has a 27.2% USG and averages 1.16 FP/min.

Look, the guy is on an ELITE run and is going to play a boatload of minutes. Will he continue to be efficient? Will he continue to get whatever he wants offensively? Those are all questions he's answered with flying colors lately. He had 38+ DKP in five straight.

I love the safety Devin Vassell provides. He plays monster minutes, has a mid-20s usage rate, massive pace up spot, and has a big-time ceiling as his price continues to drop. He's the team's second best offensive player behind Victor Wembanyama.

Over the last 15 games, the Raptors are 2-13 and are dead last in defensive rating. Tatum went off last game and the Celtics needed it because things have definitely been up and down lately. His ceiling in this spot is appealing.

Without Joel Embiid, Jared McCain, and Caleb Martin this season, PG8 has a 27.9% USG and averages 1.2 FP/min. We're unsure if George is going to play, but man he looks good if he suits up.

Atlanta is going to be extremely popular without Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, Zaccharie Risacher, and De'Andre Hunter out. Bogdanovic isn't even on the injury report today. There haven't been many minutes without both Johnson and Young on the floor for ATL this year.

In the last three games, Brice Sensabaugh has been extended at least 25 minutes and has had a 29.8% USG or better. Sexton, Collins, Markkanen, and Clarkson are out. With those guys out, +8.6% USG bump up to 30.3% USG and averages 1.28 FP/min.

Giannis has gone for 70+ DKP in two of his last three games and he's always live for that type of production. It's very easy to get to multiple stars today with who Atlanta has available tonight, potentially Philadelphia too.

With Luka and Lively confirmed out and Kyrie Irving listed as doubtful, P.J. Washington has a 6.3% USG bump, which is the second on the team. He has a 24.6% USG and 1.02 FP/min averages this year.

There's nothing that necessarily stands out from a numbers standpoint, but Yabusele is going to play a lot again today. No Embiid, Drummond, McCain and Martin and he has a .9 FP/min. His range out outcomes is very wide as we've seen 43 and 15 in two of his last four games.

Look at all of his recent games in which he's played at least 20 minutes. 24+ DKP in each of them and TWICE in four games he's played at least 25 minutes. This is all we've wanted. No Goga Bitadze here and it's likely Isaac could be extended once again.

ADDED - We haven't seen Roddy extended too often this year, but there's a chance he's in the starting lineup tonight with who's out. In the four games he played 26+ minutes in a row, he scored 16.75-27.5 DKP in each. ATL has 10 available

Going right back to the well because there's once again, infinite amounts of value you can get exposure to. Too cheap as long as he's under $13K.

Wemby? Wemby. Without Jeremy Sochan this year, he has a 33% USG and averages 1.67 FP/min. Getting Wemby in a pace up spot is FUN.

Without Jabari Smith and Tari Eason this year, Sengun has a 5% USG bump up to a robust 32.7%. It's not like Nikola Jokic is winning a DPOY anytime soon.

I mean, he's still just too cheap. I still don't think anyone's gonna play him and he's smashed at this price in four of five and he's gone for 25+ DKP in all five. Golden State could potentially be without both Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis tonight.

What do we do with Onyeka Okongwu? Who knows, but he had an insane game on Tuesday what will he do for an encore? Is it possible we even see Okongwu and Capela playing a little together with how short-handed they are? He has two double-doubles in his last five and 24+ DKP in four of five.

I'm surprised the response to all the news down the wire has moved a lot of people off of Daniel Gafford. Look at every game Gafford has been extended in this year. He's been an absolute DOG.

ADDED - This is a big lock-and-load for me. Krejci has been extended lately without Jalen Johnson and now there's no Johnson, Young, Hunter, and Risacher. His minutes should be super safe here. Elite spot, too.

ADDED - When Garrison Mathews makes shots, he can go absolutely nuts. He's VERY good from three. He's shooting 43% from three this year. There's a chance we see Mathews start here.

ADDED - Before going ALL in here, I'd like to know if there are any limitations here. He last played on 1/4. If there's no limitations, he's as good as anyone per dollar tonight considering who's in/out for Utah.

FD ONLY - This is a really good matchup for Tyler Herro as the Lakers rank 24th in DRtg this year and Herro's been a dawg. We're unsure if Bam Adebayo is gonna play, but we know Jimmy Butler isn't. Without Butler this year, Herro has a 28.7% USG and 1.2 FP/min.
