Tari Eason (leg) and Jabari Smith Jr. (groin) are not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Nuggets.
After sitting out Friday’s loss to the Lakers, Eason and Smith are off the injury report. How much Houston’s rotation players will play on Sunday is undetermined, as they’ve already secured the two-seed in the West. David Roddy and Nate Williams may see significant playing time during the second half since there won’t be anything on the line for the Rockets.
Tari Eason accounted for 17 points (7-of-12 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in 27 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers.
Tari Eason shot 7-of-8 from the field in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz, tallying 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks and one three-pointer in 24 minutes.
Amen Thompson, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Tari Eason and Alperen Sengun will start Wednesday’s game against the Jazz.
The Rockets are without Fred VanVleet, who will not play due to a sore right ankle. Eason replaces him in the lineup, and this also shifts Thompson into the point guard role. The lineup change raises Thompson and Eason’s fantasy ceilings.
