Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) says he expects a timeline of 4-to-6 months before he’s cleared to resume 5-on-5 activities.
On March 2, it was announced that Dosunmu would undergo season-ending surgery to address instability in his left shoulder. The procedure hasn’t occurred yet, but the Bulls guard is facing a lengthy recovery period. Dosunmu’s absence means more playing time for Dalen Terry, who has yet to establish himself as a player worthy of consistent rotation minutes.
Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) is set to undergo season-ending surgery.
Dosunmu was having a healthy February before he suffered a shoulder injury against the Knicks. Lonzo Ball appears set to take on a featured role as a starter for the rest of the regular season with Dosunmu out of the picture.
Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Pacers on Sunday.
Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) and Jalen Smith (concussion) are available for Friday’s game against the Raptors.
Dosunmu and Smith have missed the Bulls’ last three games. While the former’s return will likely mean fewer minutes for Dalen Terry and Tre Jones, the latter may not be as impactful in fantasy basketball circles. Zach Collins should remain the starter as the Bulls continue without the injured Nikola Vucevic. That limits Smith’s fantasy potential, although he will get rotation minutes.
