Trae Young (Achilles) is available for Tuesday’s game against the Magic.
As expected, Young has been upgraded from probable to available for Tuesday’s 7/8 Play-In tournament matchup. He’ll occupy his usual role within the Hawks’ starting lineup. The winner of Tuesday’s game will face Boston in the first round, with Game 1 scheduled for Sunday. The loser will host the winner of Wednesday’s matchup between Miami and Chicago on Friday for the eighth seed in the East.
Trae Young (Achilles) is probable to play against the Magic in the Play-In Tournament on Tuesday.
Even in the postseason, Atlanta is still listing Young as probable ahead of every game. There isn’t a chance that he sits out, so expect him to occupy his typical spot in the starting unit in the 7/8 matchup, with a chance to play the Celtics in the first round on the line.
Terance Mann lit up the Magic with 19 points (9-of-14 FGs), three rebounds and four assists on Sunday.
Mann was one of the few veterans that played on Sunday, and he was able to do more scoring than he typically does for the shorthanded Hawks. He scored 14 points in the third quarter and matched his highest-scoring performance as a Hawk. Mann will play a large reserve role for Atlanta during the postseason, but his role doesn’t typically ask him to score as much as he did in this game. Still, Mann will be an important piece for the Hawks as they try to survive the Play-In Tournament.
Keaton Wallace recorded a triple-double on Sunday with 15 points (7-of-20 FGs), 11 rebounds, 15 assists, five steals and one three-pointer in a 117-105 win over the Magic.
Game 82 always provides some fun stat lines, and that was the case in Atlanta on Sunday. Wallace recorded the first triple-double of his career and posted career highs in assists, rebounds and steals. Wallace has had some strong games this season when Trae Young is sidelined, which was the case once again on Sunday. The two-way guard likely won’t see the floor in the postseason, but it was good to see him take advantage of the opportunity in this game.
