Embiid was ruled out for the rest of the 2024-25 season on February 28, as a lingering left knee issue limited him to 19 games. He’ll undergo an arthroscopic procedure next week, and Charania also reports that Embiid will be evaluated in six weeks afterward. At that point, there should be more clarity regarding how intensive his rehab will be and how long the process may take. Due to his injury history, it will be challenging to justify selecting Embiid with a top-50 pick in standard league drafts in the fall.

Embiid is set to miss his third consecutive game on Saturday while 76ers brass works on a plan of action for him. Philadelphia will likely start Andre Drummond or Guerschon Yabusele against the Dubs.
