Cory Joseph, Gary Harris, Caleb Houstan, Tristan da Silva and Goga Bitadze against the Pacers on Friday.
Joseph will be the only typical starter for Orlando as they have opted to rest most of their starters for this game. The Magic are locked in to the seventh seed in the East, so there is no incentive for them to win or lose this game. This will likely be the same starting five for the regular season finale on Sunday.
Goga Bitadze accumulated 19 points (8-of-10 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot in 23 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets.
Goga Bitadze finished with three rebounds, one steal and four blocks on Monday against the Hawks.
Bitadze continues to start at center for Orlando, but his role hasn’t been consistent. He only played 17 minutes on Monday, and in eight games since returning from a six-game absence, Bitadze has played less than 20 minutes in four of them. He was held scoreless against the Hawks, but he was able to swat four shots. Bitadze hasn’t been as productive as he was earlier this season, and he ranks outside the top-200 in nine-cat leagues over the past two weeks.
Goga Bitadze (concussion protocol) finished Thursday’s loss to Portland with two points (1-of-1 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 18 minutes.
After playing 22 minutes off the bench in his return to action on Monday, Bitadze logged 18 on Thursday despite being in the starting lineup. While nothing health-related occurred during the game, this is a reminder to stay patient with Goga as he works his way back. Wendell Carter Jr. played 25 minutes off the bench, finishing with 12 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Bitadze offers a higher fantasy ceiling, but the minutes split on Thursday may convince a few fantasy managers to hold onto Carter for now.
