Thompson has unbelievable length and hops, and he makes getting to the basket look effortless. Thatâ??s where he excels, using his elite handles and size to take defenders off the dribble and score. His outside jumper and free-throw shooting need work, but if he can improve on those, heâ??s going to be a menace on offense. Heâ??s an excellent facilitator with great court awareness and the ability to make difficult passes. The physical tools and basketball IQ are there for him to be a strong two-way player at the next level. Houston does have Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green in the backcourt, but Thompson's combination of size and athleticism makes it possible for him to play anywhere on the perimeter. He has a shot at providing middle-round value in standard leagues, especially if the Rockets clear the way for Thompson to start immediately.
