Football is a violent game. There are going to be injuries. That’s why we have bye weeks during the season to help guys get healthy and deal with the grind.

Unfortunately, for fantasy football, both the injuries AND the bye weeks make our life difficult. Even your star players will miss at least one week for fantasy purposes.

And that’s just what fantasy football streamers are for. We might not trust these guys long term. Heck, we might not trust them for more than just a single week when their teammates are hurt, or they have a good matchup.

But this article has the guys who can be found on the wire and plugged into lineups. THIS week.

Fantasy Football Streamers For 2024 NFL Week 7

This article works in conjunction with our Waiver Wire Adds and Stashes articles.

The Week 7 waiver wire article includes the best players to pick up in general - they have both short term and long-term upside. But they might not be available, or you might get outbid. In our Week 7 waiver stashes article, we look at longer term options.

But those aren’t guys you can necessarily start this week. The Week 7 fantasy football streamers article is this one - guys that you can reasonably acquire off the wire AND potentially start this week.

We know that folks play in varying league depths so we’ll include any players that MIGHT be available (especially for really good matchups). And we’ll throw some honorable mentions in there for the really deep leagues. So, let’s dig into the Week 7 Fantasy Football Streamers!

Week 7 QB Streamers

Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville JaguarsYahoo: 52% | ESPN: 32% | Sleeper: 45%

We talked about Lawrence in the main article so check that out when you have the chance - he would be our “safe” play this week vs. New England.

Drake Maye - New England PatriotsYahoo: 6% | ESPN: 4% | Sleeper: 15%

We also gave our full thoughts on Maye in the main article - he’s the “high risk, high reward” streaming option this week vs. Jacksonville.

Sam Darnold - Minnesota VikingsYahoo: 56% | ESPN: 45% | Sleeper: 61%

We’ll quickly mention Darnold here simply because he could have been dropped in your league, as often happens when a player goes on bye week. You never really know what kind of roster crunch might cause that plus he did have a down week against the tough Jets secondary right before the bye.

Outside of that Jets game, Darnold has been one of the most consistent QB options. Plus, he could have T.J. Hockenson in the near future so his appeal may be more than just streaming. He faces the Lions this week with no Aidan Hutchinson so it could be a nice situation to throw the football.

Daniel Jones - New York GiantsYahoo: 21% | ESPN: 28% | Sleeper: 29%

Since Lawrence and Darnold are rostered in a lot of leagues and you might not be ready to throw Drake Maye in lineups, we figured we’d give you one more option that is more widely available. Jones should hopefully have Malik Nabers back to go up against the Philadelphia Eagles who you can absolutely throw against.

Week 7 RB Streamers

Tyrone Tracy - New York GiantsYahoo: 45% | ESPN: 45% | Sleeper: 56%

We talked about this in the main article but, if you can get either Tyrone Tracy or Tank Bigsby still, grab them and start them until Devin Singletary or Travis Etienne get back. And perhaps even when they are back.

Antonio Gibson - New England PatriotsYahoo: 50% | ESPN: 43% | Sleeper: 61%

Another one from the main article and the thought process is the same - he’s definitely worth a start as long as Rhamondre Stevenson is out. And he probably still is against the Jaguars this week even if Stevenson is back.

Tyler Allgeier - Atlanta FalconsYahoo: 30% | ESPN: 42% | Sleeper: 40%

One of two things has happened here. Either the AC joint and/or hamstring issues for Bijan Robinson are still bugging him enough that they are easing his workload. Or they have decided that Tyler Allgeier deserves to have the ball more often than he was getting it.

Either way, it has been happening. Over the first three games, Bijan Robinson played 89%, 75%, and 82% of snaps. Over the last three, those numbers have been 64%, 67%, and 56%. Tyler Allegeier has been the beneficiary of virtually all of them. And guess what? He’s looked pretty good.

NFL teams don’t care about fantasy football. If Bijan Robinson isn’t upset with the usage and Tyler Allgeier is getting the job, we don’t expect that to change any time soon. So, ride that train until it does.

Isaac Guerendo - San Francisco 49ers Yahoo: 4% | ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 5%

The first few guys are rostered in a lot of leagues so here is a guy that is almost certainly available. You know that AC joint injury we mentioned for Bijan Robinson? That is what we believe Jordan Mason is dealing with.

Even if Mason is available, they might look to ease the workload a bit for him for the time being - especially when it comes to short yardage and goal line where contact is virtually guaranteed.

They’d probably use guys like Deebo Samuel, Kyle Juszczyk, and Patrick Taylor to help with pass downs. But we just saw what Guerendo can do given some carries behind this stellar offense. That’s appealing enough if you need a spot start. Especially if Mason is OUT.

Week 7 WR Streamers

DeMario Douglas - New England PatriotsYahoo: 7% | ESPN: 21% | Sleeper: 14%

Check the main waiver wire first to see if any of those guys are available. But a lot of them are fairly highly owned and have been in that article for multiple weeks. DeMario Douglas is a guy who is widely available that you can throw in in a pinch if need be.

Drake Maye is the quarterback moving forward. And, in his first game, he was keyed in on Demario Douglas. We have to lean into that while we can before he gets more practice with the first team under his belt and his tendencies change. The Patriots get one of the league’s worst pass defenses this week in the Jacksonville Jaguars so it could be a good spot.

Tutu Atwell - Los Angeles RamsYahoo: 11% | ESPN: 19% | Sleeper: 23%

Here’s the thought process on this one. This team runs a lot of three WR sets. They have been running them with Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, and Jordan Whittington. But Cooper Kupp is set to return, creating a scary floor for one of them.

Demarcus Robinson had that job as the WR3 before Kupp and Nacua went down. But he’s also performed the worst of the three so there is a chance he has lost his job. Jordan Whittington was the third man in which usually means he’s the first man out. He also has more of an overlapping skill set with Cooper Kupp which could find him on the outside.

It would be fun to see him hold down the job but it’s dicey. Tutu Atwell feels like he’s at the least risk of losing one of the three spots.

Bub Means - New Orleans SaintsYahoo: 0% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 0%

The odds of Chris Olave getting cleared from concussion protocol by Thursday is pretty low. It very rarely happens that quickly. The Saints could also be without Rashid Shaheed this week which would give a boost to Mason Tipton as well. But Means was the guy who stepped in at split end for Olave.

Sometimes when these backup QBs are forced into the game, the team will also give a little playing time boost to anyone they have had a connection with in practice. The guys they throw to everyday. Bub Means has been working with Spencer Rattler and they certainly showed that chemistry this week.

So, Means could be a sneaky play here. Again, check the main waiver article for options first. This article has some deeper options. If you are in a league so deep that Bub Means is rostered, try Xavier Weaver from the Cardinals. If he’s also rostered, I can do nothing for ya.

Allen Lazard - New York Jets, Yahoo: 41% | ESPN: 38% | Sleeper: 53%

We had Lazard in here last week as a streamer Hail Mary and he hit with the literal Hail Mary. Following the Davante Adams trade, his streamer days are likely numbered. But Adams has been out with injury so we don’t know for sure if he will be ready to suit up right when he shows up so maybe we get one more game of hero ball. For old time’s sake.

Week 7 TE Streamers

Juwan Johnson - New Orleans Saints, Yahoo: 3% | ESPN: 7% | Sleeper: 6%

Here’s what we wrote in the main article that qualifies Juwan as a prime streamer. Chris Olave is almost certainly not getting cleared from this concussion by Thursday. And Rashid Shaheed is also banged up. In fact, Alvin Kamara is also dealing with three different issues.

This team is simply low on pass catchers, and you can only throw so many passes to Bub Means and Mason Tipton. Juwan is on the streaming radar for sure. Over the first three weeks he played 35%, 41%, and 50% of the snaps while he played 69%, 79%, and 77% the last three.

Zach Ertz - Washington Commanders, Yahoo: 25% | ESPN: 53% | Sleeper: 36%

Zach Ertz offers a target floor in your PPR formats. Simple as that. The lowest he’s had is 3 and the highest is 8 but you can fairly reasonably expect 4-5 targets in any week from this guy. He offers very little YAC, but he has gotten a couple endzone looks (that he has not converted). Still - you could do worse.

Colby Parkinson - Los Angeles Rams, Yahoo: 16% | ESPN: 34% | Sleeper: 23%

You aren’t getting 13 targets like last week or even likely 7 like the week before. So, I wouldn’t dream of that here. But, as long as Puka Nacua and/or Cooper Kupp is out, Colby Parkinson can be a spot start. He’s got the second highest route participation of any tight end so he’s at least out there.

Week 7 K Streamers

Brayden Narveson - Green Bay Packers, Yahoo: 8% | ESPN: 6% | Sleeper: 16%

Brayden Narveson has had some tough misses, no doubt about that. But kickers honestly can’t really get benched mid-game since most teams don’t carry a viable backup kicker - they can only be cut.

And when it comes to a streaming kicker, that doesn’t affect us. We’re simply looking for someone that we can plug in for one game that might be able to get us some decent points. The Packers are favored by 5 here in a game against

Chris Boswell - Pittsburgh Steelers, Yahoo: 49% | ESPN: 57% | Sleeper: 52%

I’m surprised that Boswell is still available in roughly half the leagues at this stage. He’s been one of the most consistent kicker options out there. And this week the Steelers get the Las Vegas Raiders where they should have no trouble moving the ball (at least into field goal range). The Boz has served us well so far, so we’ll throw him out there in a pinch.

Week 7 DST Streamers

New Orleans DST, Yahoo: 34% | ESPN: 41% | Sleeper: 16%

Defense is interesting in fantasy because there’s two schools of thought. And your format will have a lot of say in which streamer you target. If your league has harsh penalties for giving up a lot of points, you want the “safest” pay. That’s the New Orleans Saints this week.

Denver is unlikely to run up the score here, but the offense is also fairly conservative and not turning the ball over often - a big source of points. Rashid Shaheed is also unlikely to play which hurts our chances at a special teams touchdown. But a lot of the good defenses are already rostered this week.

Cincinnati Bengals DST, Yahoo: 16% | ESPN: 17% | Sleeper: 8%

The Bengals defense has not been great. They have given up 300+ yards four weeks in a row including 309 to the Giants without Malik Nabers or Devin Singletary and 520 to the Ravens. But there is reason to believe that they are trending up with BJ Hill and Sheldon Rankins back on the offensive line.

They also get the Cleveland Browns. Deshaun Watson has easily been the worst QB in football. They are getting Nick Chubb back and Amari Cooper is always dangerous, so this is your higher risk, higher reward option.

  • Honorable Mentions: Commanders vs. CAR, Chargers vs. ARI

Make Use Of These Week 7 Fantasy Football Streamers & Good Luck!

In a perfect scenario, your starting team is packed with all-star talent. Your bench would ideally feature a solid mix of high-potential players from our Waiver Wire Article or some deeper stash options. But let’s be real, fantasy football isn’t always perfect.

Sometimes, you just have to grit your teeth and play the guy who gives you the most reliable performance, even if he’s not the most exciting choice. That’s where these fantasy football streamers come into play.

Sure, the breakout players later in the season might be the ones that clinch the championship, but you’ve got to make it to the playoffs first to have a shot at winning it all.
