Some folks are struggling with injuries and bye weeks. Those folks need help from the Week 7 Streamers article. Us though? We are living large. We are playing for the future. We are stashing the highest risk, highest reward studs.

The hopes here are that they can blow up down the stretch and pay off in a big way. They might not be viable starters in fantasy football right now, but the upside is absolutely there if things break right. So, get them on the benches of your deep leagues where you can.

Best Fantasy Football Stashes For Week 7

We are ideally going to look at players that are rostered in less than 50% of leagues on Yahoo, ESPN or Sleeper Fantasy as those are the guys that are generally actually available.

We know there are leagues of varying sizes and depths so we’ll try to cover our bases. And we’ll obviously let you know what it is that makes these players the best fantasy football stashes in Week 7. So, let’s dive in!

NFL Week 7 Quarterback Stashes

Drake Maye - New England PatriotsYahoo: 6% | ESPN: 4% | Sleeper: 15%

Starting last week, Drake Maye was included in the main waiver article. He is once again included in that article as a guy you should be adding across the board. But he’s still our stop stash given his willingness to run.

The fact that he threw three TD passes in his first game is a nice bonus but the Patriots still played bad football and got crushed in the grand scheme of things. And Maye obviously made his mistakes along the way. But the upside is there.

Bo Nix, QB, Denver BroncosYahoo: 11% | ESPN: 10% | Sleeper: 21%

Speaking of the willingness to run, Bo Nix has now quietly run the ball at least four times in each of his games. He’s actually sixth in both QB rush attempts and yards and has three touchdowns now. He ran the ball this past weekend six times for 61 yards and he looked fairly spry doing it.

On top of that, he has thrown two TDs in each of his last two games after starting the season with three games with no touchdown passes. The Broncos are still running “live tryouts” of sorts to see who these pass-catchers will be yet Bo Nix has still put together some fairly serviceable games here despite all the moving parts.

Nix is currently the QB14 on the season and is worth hiding away in leagues where you are struggling at QB to see if he keeps scrambling around out there.

NFL Week 7 Running Back Stashes

Braelon Allen, RB, New York JetsYahoo: 47%| ESPN: 37% | Sleeper: 55%

Braelon Allen has transcended into the “streamer” category. But he still remains one of the best fantasy football stashes as well given his talent level and upside if anything were to happen to Breece Hall. He remains at the top of our list.

Audric Estime, RB, Baltimore RavensYahoo: 2%| ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 6%

We’re moving Estime up here and this is the thought process. He essentially hasn’t been active all year due to injury. Now he’s finally active and got a couple of carries this week. Sean Payton has essentially been running “live tryouts” with a bunch of different players getting a shot each week, especially with the pass-catchers.

They are looking to see who will be part of this team long-term. Estime is a draft pick of the new regime, and I would not be shocked to see them give him a legitimate shot at some point here, especially given how inefficient the other backs have been. So keep your eye out for that.

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles RamsYahoo: 17% | ESPN: 20% | Sleeper: 24%

The Rams not having a game this week doesn’t change our line of thinking from the previous week. Blake Corum finally saw some signs of life in Week 4. We’ve seen Sean McVay go with a single back approach and lean on that back heavily - something very few modern teams are willing to do.

If anything were to happen to Kyren Williams, Blake Corum would be the unanimous top waiver add. If you have the spot to stash guys like this, that’s how you stay ahead.

Ray Davis, RB, Buffalo BillsYahoo: 8% | ESPN: 7% | Sleeper: 14%

Ray Davis has been in these ‘best fantasy football stashes’ articles all year long. And we just saw why on Monday Night Football. James Cook is expected back so he’ll likely continue to be more of just a handcuff stash, especially with Josh Allen vulturing goal line touchdowns himself.

Still, these are the types of guys that can win leagues if things break just right down the stretch. Talent is there, offense is good.

NFL Week 7 Wide Receiver Stashes

Ja’Lynn Polk - New England PatriotsYahoo: 8% | ESPN: 13% | Sleeper: 22%

We’re not giving up on Ja’Lynn Polk just yet. Oftentimes with backup quarterbacks you see a player they were working with in practice get a brief extended look. Kayshoun Boutte was that guy this week. But eventually, as Drake Maye gets more practice with the starters and gets on the same page as them, guys like Boutte will take a back seat. And that’s what we expect here.

Ja’Lynn Polk was an early second round pick of this new regime. He played every single snap in Week 5 and played the second most WR snaps to Kayshon Boutte this week, a guy we expect to fall back in the pecking order. We’ll keep an eye on how this pans out but Polk is still the best stash from this team. And he’s more appealing now that Drake Maye is starting.

Devaughn Vele - Denver BroncosYahoo: 0% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 1%

Devaughn Vele came out early and earned 8 targets in his first game, catching all 8 of them. Then he got hurt. Then, oddly, he was a healthy scratch for the last two weeks. No injury designation at all. This week, with Josh Reynolds out, he was elevated to the active roster. And he played more than 60% of the snaps while getting 6 targets and catching 4 of them for 78 yards.

This team is essentially running “live tryouts”. They have now had 8 different pass-catchers get over 60% of the snaps at different points this year. Some of them, like Devaughn Vele and Greg Dulcich, saw big targets then were deemed healthy scratches in other weeks. But, outside of Courtland Sutton, Devaughn Vele is really the only guy doing anything with his targets.

So he’s probably the best right now to see what happens of the wide receivers. Strange situation but there is upside to be had. Troy Franklin just saw greater than 60% of the snaps for the first time this year so we are keeping an eye on him as well.

Roman Wilson - Pittsburgh SteelersYahoo: 2% | ESPN: 1% | Sleeper: 7%

No change here from last week with Roman Wilson once again - especially after he was active this week and saw his first action. Van Jefferson went out there and played 43 snaps without commanding a target. At a certain point you have to let the kid play to see if he can offer anything at all. It really can’t get much worse. Can it?

NFL Week 7 Tight End Stashes

*For those looking for it, our updated Yin & Yang Tight End chart is in our Week 7 Waiver Wire Article

Hunter Henry - New England PatriotsYahoo: 26% | ESPN: 18% | Sleeper: 26%

Check the main article for our thoughts on Henry but they really have not changed. In fact, we finally got the catalyst we were looking for with the QB switch from Jacoby Brissett to Drake Maye. And Henry found the endzone. Why would we bail on that dream now?

Lucas Krull - Denver BroncosYahoo: 0% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 0%

This is a deep cut. But guys can emerge from mysterious places. Trey McBride was not on a lot of radars until Zach Ertz got hurt. Isaiah Likely was a top five tight end down the stretch. Lucas Krull finally just got a real look this week - 75% route participation. And Greg Dulcich was a healthy scratch. We’ll try to stash this guy away while we can just in case.

Ja'Tavion Sanders - Carolina PanthersYahoo: 0%| ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 6%

Tommy Tremble missed last week with a serious concussion after a hit to the head. Ian Thomas returned but Sanders was the primary pass-catching tight end in his absence. And he got seven targets. With these struggling teams, they are always looking for a spark somewhere.

Sanders is a flat-out better pass-catching prospect than Tremble or Thomas so we are hoping he can carve himself out a nice little role with the Panthers here. More of a dynasty play than anything. But still - a name you should know.

Why Do We Stash?

Obviously, it would be nice if our entire roster was just chock full of stars. Maybe your lineup is (some of my dynasty leagues certainly are). But, for most of us, there will be holes. That’s why we highlight the Top Waiver Wire Adds each week as well as the Best Streamers to get you by.

The best fantasy football stashes though? These are the guys that win you the title. That came out of the woodworks down the stretch like rookie Odell Beckham. or Amon-Ra St. Brown. And it’s our job to find them BEFORE they break out!
