The team also waived defensive tackle John Hughes on Saturday. There are moves being considered here by the Bucs, but we have not been apprised of them at this point. Be ready for a new announcement or two in the near future.

The Bucs are dealing with a number of injuries, both minor and major, on the offensive line and in the secondary, so the addition of Allen (center) and Elliott (cornerback) will help shore up the team's depth. Neither has any fantasy relevance as both are long-shots to even take the field.

The Buccaneers are getting their offseason started early as they sign nine players to futures contracts. These nine will be on the roster and will have a chance to compete during training camp for a position.

Consider this a day-to-day as we wait on the MRI results. Allen is the Bucs' backup center and probably won't contribute much to an already weak Tampa running game.
