It’s ugly out there, no doubt about it. But that’s football. We’re going to have injuries. We’re going to have bad matchups. And now we have bye weeks. That’s why we have a separate article for Week 6 fantasy football streamers

And we also have one for Week 6 fantasy football stashes. Not every team is in the same place right now. So not every team should be focusing on the same players. This article is primarily geared for folks in deeper leagues that have serious holes in your roster.

Do you have Jordan Love or Tua Tagovailoa stashed away in an IR spot? We’ve got QB streamers. Did you go Zero RB but haven’t quite hit on some backs to start yet? We’ve got RB streamers. Are you in a deep league with 3 flexes? We’ve got WR streamers. Are you in literally any fantasy league with a TE spot? Well, you probably need a TE streamer. We’ve got that.

Fantasy Football Streamers For 2024 NFL Week 6

This article works in conjunction with our Waiver Wire Adds and Stashes articles.

The waiver wire article includes the best players to pick up in general - they have both short-term and long-term upside. But they might not be available, or you might get outbid.

In our waiver wire stashes article, we look at longer term options. But those aren’t guys you can necessarily start this week. The Week 6 fantasy football streamers article is this one - guys that you can reasonably acquire off the wire AND potentially start this week.

We know that folks play in varying league depths so we’ll include any players that MIGHT be available (especially for really good matchups). And we’ll throw some honorable mentions in there for the really deep leagues. So, let’s dig into the Week 6 Fantasy Football Streamers!

Week 6 QB Streamers

Kirk Cousins - Atlanta FalconsYahoo: 51% | ESPN: 45% | Sleeper: 41%

We discussed Cousins in the main Waiver Wire article - if you can get him, you start him against Atlanta this week.

Derek Carr - New Orleans SaintsYahoo: 33% | ESPN: 34% | Sleeper: 37%

The biggest fantasy football issue for Derek Carr during his New Orleans stint has a name - Taysom Hill. It’s essentially the only quarterback situation where the starter comes out at times and another guy goes in there to score touchdowns. I don’t need to explain why that would be a bad thing for fantasy football.

RIght now the 34 year old gadget fullback is dealing with a variety of chest ailments which leaves the Saints quarterback to have to play quarterback for the Saints. And, with a Week 6 matchup against Tampa Bay, who just let Kirk Cousins throw for over 500 yards, Carr should be on the streaming radar again assuming Hill is out.

Joe Flacco - Indianapolis Colts Yahoo: 8% | ESPN: 6% | Sleeper: 13%

We had Flacco as a stream in the Week 5 article. And that obviously worked out pretty well as he threw for 359 yards and three touchdowns. He even ran for 22 yards which is more than you can ask for a 16-year NFL vet.

From the Jets to the Browns to this game with the Colts, Joe Flacco has averaged 43.5 attempts per game in his late-stage relief starts at QB. He’s willing to play uptempo, fast-paced football which is all we can ask for in this fantasy football environment.

Will he continue his stream without turnovers? Probably not? Will he throw multiple touchdowns every game? Hard to say. But he’s willing to let it fly and the Colts offense has looked good with him at the helm so you could do a lot worse in your lineup. If Richardson is out again, Flacco faces the Titans this week.

Week 6 RB Streamers

Tyrone Tracy Jr - New York GiantsYahoo: 23% | ESPN: 18% | Sleeper: 34%

We’ll have to keep tabs on Devin Singletary and his groin injury. But, if he’s out again, Tyrone Tracy is likely the top streaming option (even if we had Bigsby ahead in the main Waiver Wire article).

Bigsby might have slightly better season long appeal but the Giants could be without Singletary again going against the Bengals, a bottom three defense vs. the run so far this year. That is certainly appealing if you need someone to go right into your lineup.

Tank Bigsby - Jacksonville JaguarsYahoo: 23% | ESPN: 10% | Sleeper: 31%

Bigsby will obviously be a top waiver add this week, as we pointed out in the main Waiver Wire article. And that naturally makes him a good streaming option as well.

Antonio Gibson - New England PatriotsYahoo: 38% | ESPN: 13% | Sleeper: 50%

Even if Rhamondre Stevenson has earned his starting job back, Gibson has gotten at least 7 touches in every game so far. It’s not an ideal matchup but there just aren’t guys like that laying around for you to plug in.

Tyler Allgeier - Atlanta FalconsYahoo: 26% | ESPN: 42% | Sleeper: 39%

Our worst nightmares have kind of come true with Bijan Robinson and Breece Hall. The first round running backs have been splitting snaps with the backups. And while Braelon Allen is rostered and potentially started in a lot of leagues, Tyler Allgeier is still available in a decent amount.

It started with an AC joint issue in Week 4. Then in Week 5 Bijan Robinson was listed with a hamstring issue. Whatever it is, his usage went from 80-90% early on to 60-65% the last two weeks. And Allgeier has been the beneficiary, picking up the slack on snaps.

He was already getting some carries week to week, but he also added five receptions over the last two weeks after having only one over the first three. They get Carolina this week which isn’t a bad spot start.

Week 6 WR Streamers

Jalen Tolbert - Dallas CowboysYahoo: 8% | ESPN: 8% | Sleeper: 17%

Jalen Tolbert was in our main waiver wire article but he obviously fits the streamer label as well. He’s in a high volume offense, he’s low rostered, and Brandin Cooks is set to miss a minimum four more games. Textbook streamer.

Jonathan Mingo - Carolina PanthersYahoo: 1% | ESPN: 2% | Sleeper: 3%

Do we love Jonathan Mingo? No, we don’t. But you don’t need to “love” players for them to have streaming appeal in deep leagues. In this case, Adam Thielen was already on IR and Xavier Legette could miss some time.

That promoted Jonathan Mingo into the fulltime WR role opposite Diontae Johnson. And he’s WIDELY available at under 3% rostered on all platforms. If you are somehow in an even DEEPER league, Jalen Coker is more interesting that David Moore of the other Panthers wideouts.

Xavier Hutchinson - Houston TexansYahoo: 1% | ESPN: 0% | Sleeper: 0%

We can go even deeper than Jonathan Mingo if you need it. Nico Collins could miss time with a hamstring injury and there’s no reason to rush him back against the lowly Patriots.

The Texans bring in Robert Woods when either of the slot/flankers in Stefon Diggs or Tank Dell miss but, when the split end Nico Collins is out, it’s Hutchinson that enters the game. Maybe more of a DFS dart throw than someone you want to run out there but don’t be surprised when he plays a big snap share if Nico misses time.

Allen Lazard - New York Jets, Yahoo: 36% | ESPN: 38% | Sleeper: 47%

We’re just going to leave Lazard in this article until people actually add him in leagues. He’s the quintessential streamer. Do we think he’s that great? No. Are there other options on that team that deserve more looks? Yes. Does the QB irrationally love him and find him for random touchdowns in big moments. Also yes. So Lazard is always a streaming option.

Week 6 TE Streamers

Zach Ertz - Washington CommandersYahoo: 31% | ESPN: 48% | Sleeper: 49%

With his consistent targets and PPR points week to week, Zach Ertz remains one of the easiest streaming options available to us (though he’s starting to get picked up across the board. We wrote about him in the main article.

Tyler Conklin - New York JetsYahoo: 30% | ESPN: 37% | Sleeper: 30%

If Aaron Rodgers doesn’t want to throw it to guys like Breece Hall and Mike Williams, there’s nothing we can do about that. Conklin has gotten consistent targets the last three weeks, so we’ll ride the train for as long as that goes. We wrote about him in the main article as well.

Cade Otton - Tampa Bay BuccaneersYahoo: 37% | ESPN: 17% | Sleeper: 44%

The availability of guys like Ertz, Conklin, and Otton makes tight end a fairly easy position to stream while we use a bench spot to look for upside.

Otton was mentioned in the main article with these guys but there are other options for even deeper leagues in the honorable mentions below. Check the Weekly Rankings when those are published to see who is moving up or down as the injury reports come out.

Week 6 K Streamers

Brayden Narveson - Green Bay Packers, Yahoo: 8% | ESPN: 6% | Sleeper: 16%

Brayden Narveson has had some tough misses, no doubt about that. But kickers honestly can’t really get benched mid-game since most teams don’t carry a viable backup kicker - they can only be cut.

And when it comes to a streaming kicker, that doesn’t affect us. We’re simply looking for someone that we can plug in for one game that might be able to get us some decent points. The Packers are favored by 5 here in a game against

Chris Boswell - Pittsburgh Steelers: 49% | ESPN: 57% | Sleeper: 52%

I’m surprised that Boswell is still available in roughly half the leagues at this stage. He’s been one of the most consistent kicker options out there. And this week the Steelers get the Las Vegas Raiders where they should have no trouble moving the ball (at least into field goal range). The Boz has served us well so far, so we’ll throw him out there in a pinch.

Week 6 DST Streamers

Philadelphia Eagles DST, Yahoo: 37% | ESPN: 10% | Sleeper: 8%

This is going to be a move that we use frequently now that we are into the bye weeks for both kicker and defense. Team gets to their bye week. Owner drops DST or kicker. DST or kicker has a good matchup the next week. We pick them up and use them. The Eagles get the Cleveland Browns this week who have just been a disaster. Scoop them up.

Houston Texans DST, Yahoo: 42% | ESPN: 21% | Sleeper: 23%

The Texans defense is solid on paper. But they did not fare super well against the Vikings, Jaguars, and Bills. It really doesn’t matter who they are though because they play the New England Patriots this week, arguably the worst team in all of football. So, they’ll be a pretty reasonable start regardless.

  • Honorable Mentions: Colts vs. TEN, LAC vs. DEN

Make Use Of These Week 6 Fantasy Football Streamers & Good Luck!

In a perfect scenario, your starting team is packed with all-star talent. Your bench would ideally feature a solid mix of high-potential players from our Waiver Wire Article or some deeper stash options. But let’s be real, fantasy football isn’t always perfect.

Sometimes, you just have to grit your teeth and play the guy who gives you the most reliable performance, even if he’s not the most exciting choice. That’s where these fantasy football streamers come into play.

Sure, the breakout players later in the season might be the ones that clinch the championship, but you’ve got to make it to the playoffs first to have a shot at winning it all.
