Without further ado, let’s jump into the NFL DFS Week 10 WR Coach, here exclusively at Fantasy Alarm!

NFL DFS Week 10 WR Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

Overall, you’ll find my NFL DFS Week 10 WR Coach play of the week below, but I’ll tell you something here. Compared to past weeks, the elite tier of wide receivers isn’t a bit thin compared to previous weeks, likely due to the fact that on top of our regular primetime games, we have an international game, and four teams on bye.

I do believe that will push ownership to some of the “chalkier” options in this tier, most notably Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings. Continue reading to see the NFL DFS Week 10 WR Coach with some of my favorite wide receivers in the NFL to use for your Week 10 DFS lineups.

NFL Week 10 Wide Receivers

Teams on bye: Browns, Packers, Raiders, Seahawks

Teams not playing on the main slate: Bengals, Ravens, Giants, Panthers, Lions, Texans, Dolphins and Rams

Quick Notes on the slate:

  • Four games with a total of at least 46 points
  • Four games with a total of 42 or fewer points
  • There’s one game on the main slate with a total of 49+ points (SF/TB), but three games off the main slate with a total of 49+ points!

NFL DFS WR Coach Week 9 Results

From the top tier picks last week, we didn’t have many resounding successes, as Ja'Marr Chase and Tyreek Hill were average at best, while A.J. Brown and Puka Nacua got injured and ejected respectively.

The mid-tier was highlighted by Zay Flowers, followed by respectable days from DeVonta Smith and Terry McLaurin.

The value tier had a few misses, but Jakobi Meyers and Cedric Tillman provided a quality return on investment.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba went nuclear against the Rams, which was quite surprising, and CeeDee Lamb didn’t quite get it done in an advantageous matchup against Atlanta.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks For Week 10

Garrett Wilson, New York Jets - DraftKings: $7,200 | FanDuel: $7,900

Since Davante Adams has come to town, Garrett Wilson has gotten better. Sure, Wilson has more targets, receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns than Adams, but he’s also the PPR WR3 over the last three weeks.

Furthermore, his 19.1 fantasy points per game over the last three weeks surpasses 16.5 fantasy points per game through his first six games of the season. He’ll have the matchup advantage over Adams in this matchup against Arizona, and if the Cardinals can keep this close, we’ll get plenty of volume for Wilson, likely leading to another game with 8+ targets.

Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,500

11/10 UPDATE: London is expected to play, but again, you can trust Mooney in this matchup.

11/8 UPDATE: London has logged limited practices this week, but again, Mooney is in a great spot with or without London on the field, especially with New Orleans trading away Marshon Lattimore at the NFL trade deadline.

If Drake London plays, great. If London doesn’t play, great. Mooney is in a great spot against a New Orleans secondary that ranks in the bottom-half of the NFL in fantasy points allowed to wideouts over the last four weeks.

Mooney continues to steady dosage of targets from quarterback Kirk Cousins, and he’s posted at least 85 yards and a touchdown in each of his last two contests. He was quiet against New Orleans earlier this season, but I don’t expect that to be the case this week, especially if London sits.

New Orleans, AKA Alontae Taylor, has struggled in slot coverage all year long, and while Mooney doesn’t go in there a ton, he’s averaged over 20 yards per reception with a 143.3 passer rating when targeted out of the slot the last two weeks, per Pro Football Focus (PFF).

DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $7,800 | FanDuel: $8,500

11/8 UPDATE: Brown practiced in full after a limited session, and while Smith missed a practice, he returned in a limited capacity, so he should be fine for this contest.

A.J. Brown is day-to-day with his knee injury, but given the injury to Dak Prescott, I fully believe that the Eagles think they can win this game without Brown. If that’s the case, why rush him back? They have a quick turnaround to play Thursday Night Football in Week 11, and then play the Rams and Ravens after that.

Why rush Brown back to face Cooper Rush and the Dallas Cowboys that may also be without CeeDee Lamb? An insane touchdown catch helped Smith’s fantasy day last week, but other than a disastrous showing a few weeks back against the Giants, Smith has at least 64 yards in every game this season.

This Dallas secondary has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last four weeks, and Smith could serve as the team’s top pass-catcher in this rivalry game.

Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $8,300

If you need some cost savings, certainly take a look at Ricky Pearsall, but the price point is affordable for Samuel, especially on DraftKings. In a 30-24 win over the Cowboys in the team’s last game, Samuel caught four of seven targets for 71 yards, and turned four carries into 15 yards.

This is the highest projected total on the slate, and the Bucs have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts in 2024. A Christian McCaffrey return should help the San Fran offense sustain drives, and without Brandon Aiyuk, the targets should primarily be concentrated between McCaffrey, Samuel, George Kittle, and a sprinkling of Pearsall.

Vegas says this is a game we are going to want some action in, and at the wide receiver spot, Samuel is the way to go.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks For NFL Week 10

Brian Thomas, Jacksonville Jaguars - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $7,300

11/10 UPDATE: Thomas will have Mac Jones throwing him the ball, so I'll knock Thomas down a few pegs, but there's still a path to fantasy viability. Ownership will be lower on him, that's for sure.

11/8 UPDATE: Thomas has logged limited practices, so he should be good to go, but the questions around Trevor Lawrence have me a bit worried for Thomas. If Mac Jones is under center, which is becoming more and more likely, I'll probably be looking elsewhere.

The numbers weren’t there for Thomas last week against the Eagles, as he caught just two of four targets for 22 yards, and failed to score for just the second time in his last six games.

However, despite the questions about his availability for the game, he ended up playing a season-high 91 percent of the snaps, so we can chalk up the down game to the tough matchup against the Philadelphia secondary that has been playing well of late.

In Week 10, Thomas gets the Vikings, a team that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last four weeks, and the game script should benefit Jacksonville’s passing attack. They won’t be able to run the ball against Minnesota, and Thomas is the team’s best offensive weapon.

Trevor Lawrence has been far better at home this year compared to when he is on the road, so if you are looking at a Jacksonville receiver, Thomas is your preferred option, and Parker Washington is the cheaper alternative.

Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $5,600 | FanDuel: $6,600

Sutton falls into a similar situation as Ridley, I.E. high-volume receiver in a bad matchup. Kansas City has been very tough on wide receivers, especially those on the perimeter. Sutton doesn’t get into the slot too often, but the game script should favor the Denver passing attack.

Denver’s WR1 has feasted on the Ravens and Panthers the last two weeks, catching 15 of 21 targets for 222 yards. With ownership likely being off him for the most part this week due to the matchup, he could make for an interesting pivot, though his ceiling is far from where it was the past two weeks.

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $7,100

Buffalo’s Taron Johnson has allowed the third-most yards in slot coverage over the last four weeks, not to mention an 82.3 percent reception rate and 102.5 passer rating when targeted, per PFF.

Despite trailing Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce in routes run, Downs held 34.4 percent of the team’s air yards in Week 9 with Joe Flacco under center, per Fantasy Points, and a 33.3 percent target share. He’s the Indianapolis receiver we can trust right now, and he also happens to have the most favorable matchup for the Colts against this Buffalo secondary in a game where Michael Pittman will be inactive.

Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $6,600

If the Jaguars try to sell out to ensure Justin Jefferson doesn’t beat them, Addison would be the beneficiary of that. Oh, even that won’t work to slow down Jefferson by the way.

Last week against the Colts, Addison caught all five of his targets for 42 yards and his second receiving touchdown on the season. He was tied with Josh Oliver for the most targets in Week 9, but Jacksonville has been such a good matchup for opposing receivers all season long.

The Jags have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to receivers this year, and if Addison will line up across from Ronald Darby for most of the afternoon, don’t be surprised if he posts his best fantasy day of the year.

ADDED 11/10: Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $6,200

No Amari Cooper. No Keon Coleman. The target tree is consolidated mightily in this favorable matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Shakir has been incredibly efficient this year, and he finds himself in a great spot against Indy's zone-heavy defense. Per Pro Football Focus, Shakir leads the Bills in all major statistical categories against zone coverage, and furthermore, he's caught all but one target against zone coverage this year!

Expect a heavy dosage of Shakir through the air in this one, and the more lineups I've built, Shakir continues to come up as an incredibly enticing option at his price point.

NFL Week 10 DFS WR Value Picks

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $5,800

There’s some volatility with Ridley, but there’s no denying the workload he’s receiving. Since Mason Rudolph went under center for the Titans, Ridley has a massive 28.8 percent target share, per Fantasy Points’ Data Suite, with 48.3 percent of the team’s air yards and primarily serving as the first read.

Albeit not overly consistent, he’s been a top 20 wideout with Rudolph as his quarterback, while averaging over 10 targets per game. It’s not the greatest matchup, but this type of workload typically isn’t available under $6K on DraftKings (in these circumstances).

DeAndre Hopkins, Kansas City Chiefs - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $6,000

In his second game with the Chiefs, Hopkins played 60 percent of the snaps, caught eight of nine targets, and found the end zone twice. He trailed only Travis Kelce in targets, receptions, and yards, but there are no questions who the top receiving option in the WR room is at this point.

While Kelce was the de facto slot receiver in Week 9, Hopkins made a big play out of the slot, and he lined up there on 37 percent of his snaps. That’s worth noting because Denver’s top corner, Pat Surtain, doesn’t travel into the slot, so Kansas City can put Hopkins in the slot more this week, so the crafty veteran can take advantage of Ja’Quan McMillian, who has allowed 86.7 percent of his targets to be caught over the last four weeks and a 97.8 passer rating when targeted, per PFF.

For the entire 2024 season, only three corners have allowed more yards in slot coverage, and only Dee Alford has been targeted more, and allowed more receptions.

Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $4,900 | FanDuel: $5,900

Johnston was the beneficiary of busted coverage last week for a long touchdown, but I’m going to give him the nod here over Joshua Palmer and Ladd McConkey this week. So long as L’Jarius Sneed is out of action, I like Johnston’s outlook on the perimeter against these Tennessee boundary corners, especially Jarvis Brownlee Jr., who has allowed nearly 14 yards per reception and a 93.1 passer rating when targeted over the last four weeks.

Los Angeles’ passing offense has picked up in recent weeks, and Johnston is no stranger to big plays. Johnston likely needs a touchdown to give us the ROI we are wanting, but the second-year pro does have four touchdowns in six games this season. If you want a little more stability, look at Ladd McConkey compared to QJ.

NFL DFS WR Fades For Week 10

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $8,600 | FanDuel: $9,200

CeeDee Lamb is one of the guys that can produce with any quarterback, but I’m not feeling overly encouraged by his outlook with Cooper Rush under center in this matchup against the Eagles.

First and foremost, Lamb is dealing with his own shoulder issue, and one bad hit could knock him out of action. Furthermore, no team has allowed fewer fantasy points per game to opposing receivers over the last four weeks than the Philadelphia Eagles

Sure, the Eagles haven’t really faced the quarterback gauntlet over the last calendar month, but Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean have been tough on receivers the last four weeks. I don’t like the matchup, and Lamb’s price point without Dak Prescott under center is too rich for my blood.

NFL Week 10 WR Play Of The Week

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings - DraftKings: $8,800 | FanDuel: $9,500

It’s chalky I know, but Jacksonville’s secondary is hot garbage, and they’ve allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts on the season. Furthermore, perimeter receivers have given them fits, and there may be no better receiver in the game than Justin Jefferson

The star wideout has at least eight targets in six straight games, and he’s been super consistent of late, notching at least six receptions and 81 yards in six straight games. His fantasy floor is incredibly high, his ceiling is through the roof, and in a matchup like this, you’d be foolish to look elsewhere in the upper price tier of WRs.
