NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Wednesday Playbook

Luka Doncic returns to Dallas for the first time since he was unexpectedly traded at the deadline, so we have the ultimate revenge narrative here. The DK price would be tough to swallow in usual circumstances, but I am willing to overpay given the context. The Lakers are also motivated by playoff seeding, so they should be all out in this spot. 

Giddey rested yesterday, and the Bulls technically have play-in tournament seeding stake. I expect Giddey to suit up and continue to fill up the stat sheet. 

Boston is resting at least Tatum, Porzingis, White, Holiday and Horford, so Pritchard should play a ton of minutes. He has been awesome with those players off the floor this season (1.35 FPPM), so the difficult matchup is of little concern with the massively upgraded role. 

Collier has seen an uptick in playing time recently, with 30+ minutes played in each of his last six games. He is questionable on the injury report, so we'll need to monitor his status. The Jazz are still in tank mode, and the role and minutes should be great for Collier if he is able to play. 

Carrington has been playing more minutes than anyone in the league recently, averaging 40 mpg over his last five games. He gets an excellent matchup against the Sixers today and is underpriced for his recent role. 

Grimes flashed 50 fantasy point upside last game (as he has done many times since arrival in Philly). He also gets one of the best possible matchup against the tanking Sixers.  

White continues to score at an elite rate, as he has dropped 31+ points in five of his last eight games. The matchup is not ideal, but he still has plenty of upside at this price (especially on FD).  

Sharpe has shown fantasy upside since Jerami Grant and Deandre Ayton were put on the shelf. More recently, injuries to Anfernee Simons and Scoot Henderson have allowed Sharpe to take that upside to another level. Simons (questionable) has a chance to return, but the other three players remain out. The matchup against Utah is an elite one, so I have interest even if Simons returns. 

Sexton has played 30+ minutes and should continue to have a big role for the Jazz. His role could be even more solidified if Isaiah Collier is unable to suit up. 

I think we get more comfortable value than Johnson to open up before we hit roster lock. The Washington rotation is all over the place the last several weeks, but Johnson has been a mainstay. His FPPM production in recent games leaves something to be desired. 

Camara can be penciled in for 30+ minutes in an elite matchup with the tanking Jazz. He has flashed plenty of upside recently, and Anfernee Simons (questionable) sitting again would solidify that upside. 

Walker has started three of the last five games and played at least 33 minutes in each of those starts. He is too cheap in an elite matchup if he draws the start again, as expected. 

Boston is resting at least Tatum, Porzingis, White, Holiday and Horford, so Hauser should play a ton of minutes. Hauser is all the way up at 1.21 FPPM with those regulars off the floor this season, so the difficult matchup is of little concern with the massively upgraded role. 

Juzang has played at least 35 minutes in each of the last two games, but his role is less secure than someone like Collin Sexton. The Jazz are intentionally shorthanded again, so Juzang has a clear path to 30+ minutes if he draws the start. 

Boston is locked into the No. 2 seed, so they are resting a bunch of starters. Orlando is technically still jockeying for play-in tournament seeding, so the should be all out in this spot. Banchero has shown incredible upside lately. 

Avdija has been one of the biggest surprises in the entire league the second half of the season. He now finds himself in an elite matchup where he should continue to fill up the stat sheet. He is listed questionable on the injury report, but he has 65+ fantasy point upside if he plays. 

The Bulls have struggled to defend the paint all season long, so I really like this spot for Bam Adebayo. Both the Bulls and Heat are fighting for play-in tournament seeding, so we should see a competitive game. 

The Hornets are extremely shorthanded for their matchup with the also-tanking Raptors. Salaun has a path to play 30+ minutes in an expanded role tonight. 

Center is the main position where the DK and FD slates differ quite a bit, mainly due to the presence of Nikola Jokic. The price tag and Luka Doncic's revenge could keep Jokic lower-owned than he should be. Jamal Murray is doubtful to play, which raises the already elite ceiling for Jokic.  

Another FD only option, Zubac is playing big minutes and the Clippers playoff seed is still wildly undecided in a wide open Western Conference. The Rockets are locked into the No. 2 seed, so the Clips will be the more motivated team here. 

Bona should have a massive role again for the shorthanded Sixers. and he gets an elite matchup against the Wizards. He is one of the top value options on the slate. 

Sarr makes for an interesting GPP pivot from the more popular Adem Bona on the other side of this game. Opposing Centers are negatively correlated given they often fight for the same rebounds, so Sarr represents signifcant leverage on Bona. 

Mark Williams is out and Moussa Diabate (questionable) was a midday add to the injury report. Nurkic might be needed for significant minutes tonight, and he has produced 1.25 FPPM this season. 

If Diabate (questionable) plays, he is a strong leverage option on his chalky teammate Jusuf Nurkic. Their minutes are highly correlated with them unlikely to share the floor.
