Jalen Smith recorded a double-double on Sunday with 12 points (5-of-13 FGs), 10 rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer against the 76ers.
Smith was questionable earlier in the day on Sunday with a headache, but he ended up playing through it and recording a double-double in just 16 minutes. Smith has been the third center option behind Nikola Vucevic and Zach Collins, but Vucevic didn’t play in the second half of this game, which allowed both Smith and Collins (13/4/2) to take on extra minutes. However, while they will still provide some depth, Vucevic will fill out most of the center minutes during the Play-In Tournament.
Jalen Smith (headache) is available to play against the 76ers on Sunday.
Smith was a late addition to the injury report on Sunday morning, but a headache won’t keep him out of the lineup for the regular season finale. Nikola Vucevic is playing and will start, but he may not play many minutes. Smith will split most of the center minutes with Zach Collins, unless Billy Donovan opts to play Vucevic more than he should in a meaningless game.
Jalen Smith (headache) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the 76ers.
Smith is a late addition to the Bulls’ injury report, which does not bode well for his availability. If he’s unable to play, Zach Collins has the most to gain regarding playing time. Regardless of Sunday’s result, the Bulls are locked into the nine-seed in the East and will host the Heat on Wednesday.
Jalen Smith (ankle) is available to play against the Wizards on Friday.
Smith should be good to go after initially being listed as probable. However, with both Nikola Vucevic and Zach Collins available, Smith likely won’t see the floor.
