Bub was underwhelming in his start against Orlando and tallied just four points on 2-of-5 shooting with two rebounds and three assists before heading to the locker room. Whether his leg injury is something to worry about remains to be seen.

Despite Saturday’s game being Washington’s of summer league, the Wizards had their first-round pick shoulder a full workload. Bub played 35 of a possible 40 minutes and was highly active on the boards, grabbing a game-high 15 rebounds while accumulating 13 points and five assists. Washington added Malcolm Brogdon via the Deni Avdija trade, and he should serve as a quality mentor to Carrington as he gets used to the NBA game. While he will not be an elite fantasy option immediately, Washington being in rebuild mode makes Carrington one of the more attractive rookies in fantasy basketball.

Bub hasn’t shot the ball well this summer, but this was the first game that he really struggled. He has been a consistent contributor of assists so far, but he finished with less than five dimes for the first time this summer in this game. Carrington is going to get the chance to work through mistakes during his rookie season, even if his shot isn’t falling. That may not play well for managers that are trying to be comeptitive in the field goal percentage category, but he should put up some fun numbers during his rookie year.
