NFL DFS Week 6 WR Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

CeeDee Lamb and Amon-Ra St. Brown are the highest priced receivers, and that Dallas game could pop off for fantasy purposes.

I’m planning to have at least one of them in all my lineups, and fortunately, there’s a lot of mid-tier receivers that you can target to fill out your NFL DFS lineups without sacrificing any upside.

Darnell Mooney is far too cheap on DraftKings, and potential shootouts in Baltimore and Carolina (!!!) offer plenty of value at the wide receiver spot in our NFL DFS Week 6 WR Coach.

NFL Week 6 Wide Receivers

Here are the teams that aren’t available to us on the main slate due to playing overseas or in primetime: 49ers, Seahawks, Jaguars, Bears, Bengals, Giants, Bills, and Jets.

Here are the teams that aren’t available to us due to their bye week: Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins, and Vikings.

We have 10 games on the main slate, three of which have game totals of at least 49 points. On the other hand, we have three games below 40 points. The Baltimore-Washington matchup will be one of the more exciting games on the slate, and with two secondaries that have struggled in coverage this year, we’ll definitely be looking at some receivers there.

Additionally, I expect good days for the Packers and Falcons through the air, and you’ll see some of my favorite wide receivers from those teams to target in this NFL DFS Week 6 WR Coach below.

NFL DFS WR Coach Week 5 Results

From the top tier picks last week, Ja'Marr Chase was a standout pick, Zay Flowers and Nico Collins gave us enough, but DK Metcalf was a bit of a flop.

We crushed the mid-tier picks last week, as DJ Moore, Stefon Diggs, and Brian Thomas all gave us above-average return on investment.

The value tier was mostly a whiff, but a long Keon Coleman touchdown helped out a bit.

Fading Tyreek Hill was the right move, and my play of the week, Deebo Samuel, was outshined by teammate Brandon Aiyuk.

NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks For Week 6

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $8,100 | FanDuel: $9,000

Outside of their loss to Tampa Bay, Detroit has yet to really get St. Brown going. Fortunately, he’s found the end zone in each of the team’s last two contests, but he hasn’t necessarily been the PPR machine many were expecting coming into the 2024 season.

However, this game will be one of the highest scoring games on the slate, and St. Brown will have a day finding the holes in this zone-heavy Dallas defense. One simply does not fade St. Brown in a game with an O/U north of 50. However, if you need some cost savings, Jameson Williams is a great target as well.

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $8,600 | FanDuel: $9,300

On the main slate for Week 6, no team has allowed more fantasy points per game to wide receivers in 2024 than the Detroit Lions. Lamb has at least seven targets in every game this season, and this game could turn out to be a fantasy bonanza.

Detroit is particularly vulnerable to receivers out of the slot, and Lamb leads the Cowboys in slot targets this season. Some of the underlying metrics for Lamb out of the slot are a bit underwhelming, but volume is king, and Lamb is sure to get that in this matchup.

I’ll give a slight nod to Jalen Tolbert here as well, as he has a 13.6 aDOT (average depth of target) and over 12 yards per reception out of the slot in 2024, per Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Stefon Diggs, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $7,400 | FanDuel: $8,000

Nico Collins is week-to-week, and I’m expecting him to miss this game. Houston should not look to rush Collins back for this game against New England, thus pushing Diggs to the WR1 for this team.

Tank Dell has, surprisingly, been a non-factor through the first quarter of the season, whereas Diggs’ production has picked up in recent weeks. Over his last three games, he’s averaging seven receptions for 81.7 yards per game, and gets to face a New England defense that has allowed the ninth-most yards to wideouts this season.

Houston can’t really run the ball, and they also haven’t really shown the ability to put teams away yet, so there should be enough volume for Stroud and Co. to give us a quality return on investment.

Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $7,700

Reed has at least six targets in every game this season, and at least two rushing attempts in all but two games. Reed is a touchdown machine, and now gets a juicy matchup against an Arizona defense that is about league average in terms of fantasy points per game to opposing receivers.

Reed is the most explosive receiver for the Packers, and he also just so happens to be the best receiver on the team against Cover 3 defense, which is what Arizona likes to sit in, per Fantasy Points Data Suite. In fact, of receivers with at least 30 routes run against Cover 3, Reed is a top-5 receiver in fantasy points per route run against Cover 3.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks For NFL Week 6

Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,200

Flowers gets to face a Washington secondary that has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers this season, and he’s coming off a season-high 111 yards against the Bengals in Week 5.

No matter who the Commanders put in slot coverage, none of them have been able to stop a nosebleed, and Lamar Jackson has a 115.5 passer rating when targeting Flowers out of the slot this season.

With Baltimore’s defensive struggles of late, this game could turn into a shootout, and Flowers is the most reliable Baltimore receiver. Flowers can be played in cash or GPP, whereas I’m a bit more reluctant to trust Rashod Bateman in cash games.

Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $7,500

Well, when the Bucs and Saints play, you know the matchup everyone will talk about, and that is Mike Evans versus Marshon Lattimore. In his last three games against the Saints, Godwin has double-digit fantasy points in each of those contests, including two games with 10+ targets.

The Saints have been more vulnerable to perimeter receivers this season, but Evans has a less than stellar track record against New Orleans for his career. Evans totaled 70 yards in Week 17 last season against the Saints, but prior to that, the last time he had 70 or more yards in a game against them was in Week 14 of the 2018 season!

Alontae Taylor isn’t a lockdown corner out of the slot, so I’m going to look Godwin’s way in Week 6.

Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $6,800

Over the last couple of weeks, the Washington passing attack has been dominated by Terry McLaurin (23 targets) and Zach Ertz (16 targets). During this three week stretch, McLaurin has nearly 60 percent of the team’s air yards, and he’s been the WR15 in fantasy points per game.

Baltimore has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers, and with both defenses being quite vulnerable, this has every opportunity to be the highest scoring game on the main slate. I typically fancy slot receivers against Washington, but outside of McLaurin, there’s not really another Washington receiver I can trust.

Drake London, Atlanta Falcons - DraftKings: $6,700 | FanDuel: $7,400

The Panthers have been bleeding yards and overall fantasy production to perimeter receivers, and the Kirk Cousins-to-Drake London connection has been thriving in recent weeks. Since a quiet Week 1, London has averaged 7.5 receptions on 10.3 targets for 84.8 yards and 0.8 touchdowns per game.

Overall, the Panthers have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers, and over the last three weeks, only Ja'Marr Chase and Malik Nabers have averaged more fantasy points per game than London. The price tag is quite affordable for a guy producing like an elite WR1 over the last month.

NFL Week 6 DFS WR Value Picks

Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers - DraftKings: $4,900 | FanDuel: $5,800

I’m trusting the matchup here, because I’ll be honest, this game might be one of the most boring in the afternoon window. McConkey is averaging 6.5 targets over his last two weeks, and with him residing primarily in the slot, he’ll avoid the clamps of Patrick Surtain.

No slot corner has been targeted more this year than Ja’Quan McMillian, per PFF, and while he’s held up for the most part, opposing offenses are keen on avoiding Surtain. Also, for what’s it’s worth, McConkey has scored in both of his home games this year, and failed to score on the road, and this Week 6 contest is at home, so here’s to hoping he extends his touchdown streak at home to three!

Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $5,700 | FanDuel: $6,000

Perimeter receivers against the Colts have been money this season, and I’m going to the Calvin Ridley well (rather than DeAndre Hopkins) this week. Will Levis hasn’t inspired much hope for the passing attack, and outside of Ridley’s monster Week 2, he’s largely been a non-factor.

He has just two receptions over the last two weeks, and hopefully the bye week can pay dividends for Tennessee. The Colts have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to receivers this year, and the fourth-most receiving yards overall. I’m not willing to trust Ridley in cash, but he’s simply too talented to not take advantage of this juicy matchup.

NFL DFS WR Fades For Week 6

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $7,300 | FanDuel: $8,200

You probably saw this coming with how I talked about Evans in Godwin’s writeup above. Evans has met or crossed the 70-yard plateau just once in his last 11 games against New Orleans (including playoffs).

His five receiving touchdowns have definitely boosted his stat line from a fantasy perspective, and currently, his 12.0 yards per reception and 11.7 aDOT would both be career lows, per PFF.

Furthermore, his 1.75 yards per route run would be tied for the third-lowest of his career! Evans doesn’t have a great track record against New Orleans, and I’m fading him at his price as the sixth-most expensive receiver on DraftKings and fifth-most expensive on FanDuel.

NFL Week 6 WR Play Of The Week

Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $6,500

What the $&%@ is DraftKings doing with Mooney’s pricing!? This guy is the WR11 in fantasy points per game over the last three weeks, not to mention eight or more receptions in two of those games, and he’s under $5,500! WHAT!?

It’s such a good matchup against Carolina, and the Falcons move Mooney all over, so they can use his athleticism and “juice” to exploit a below-average Carolina secondary. If Andy Dalton can put points on the board, we’re in store for another Atlanta shootout, and the price point for Mooney on DraftKings is borderline criminal.

Simply put, I won’t have any DraftKings lineup in Week 6 without Mooney.
