2024 Player Outlook

What a debut, right? Levis threw four touchdowns in his NFL debut against the Falcons and the hype machine was on. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Levis was never able to really build upon that start. From Weeks 9 to Week 15 Levis averaged 222 yards per game with a 58% completion percentage while throwing four touchdowns and four interceptions. In 2024 Levis enters the season as the starting QB and the team went and added Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to pair with DeAndre Hopkins, giving Levis a ton of very good veteran receivers to throw the football to. The offense also sees a change at running back with Derrick Henry now in Baltimore and Tony Pollard coming over from Dallas. Pollard is a capable receiver out of the backfield and he, along with Tyjae Spears can be assets for Levis this season. That said, I'm still not looking to draft Levis as my QB1, he instead should be paired with a QB that has a safer floor incase Levis struggles.

Titans President of Football Operations Chad Brinker said that the team has not engaged in trade talks about Will Levis and that Levis “has a chance to compete for a starting job.”

The Titans are standing by their man, for now. Brinker adds that the Titans “have not contacted anybody, and nobody has contacted us, about Will Levis.” If the Titans were to be contacted about Levis’ availability, perhaps his stance would change. Trading Levis away pre-draft would effectively force the Titans to draft his replacement with the No. 1 overall pick while signaling their intent to do so. Perhaps, retaining Levis as the presumed starter, pre-draft, will encourage another team picking in the top 10 to offer an overwhelmingly valuable trade package that would allow the Titans to slide back a tad, while remaining in range to draft one of Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart.

Titans VP of Football Operations Chad Brinker said teams are still “checking in” on a potential trade for the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Not long after head coach Brian Callahan said the , Brinker reiterated that the team is “going to go through the whole thing” while leaving things open to the possibility of a trade. If the Titans are open to taking a quarterback to replace Will Levis, it’s hard to imagine them not taking a shot on Miami’s Cam Ward or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders with the No. 1 pick next month. That said, if the Titans prefer to go in a different direction than quarterback, they could fetch a decent haul for another team to move up to the top spot and take their quarterback of choice. With nearly a month to go until the draft, the Titans still have plenty of time to decide on what to do with their pick, but Brinker’s comments serve as a good reminder that their decision is far from settled.

NFL Insider Josina Anderson reports the Titans “would like to transition” from QB Will Levis.

Levis was the Titans’ second-round pick from two years ago. He started 12 games last season, getting benched for Mason Rudolph and finishing with 12 interceptions and six fumbles lost. The Titans now hold the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, with their selection of Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders as franchise quarterback. If they have faith in one of them, Levis could be jettisoned. A market may not materialize quickly, but a team may deal a day three draft pick to get Levis in a back-up role.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowlers reports Will Levis could be the “odd man out” in the Titans QB room in 2025.

With the Titans expected to take a quarterback in the first round of the draft and sign a veteran free agent in the coming weeks, Levis could be demoted to third string or even fail to make the Week 1 roster. “I think they are tired of the backbreaking turnovers,” an NFL personnel employee told ESPN at the NFL Combine. The big-armed Levis was a disaster in 2024, eventually benched for journeyman QB Mason Rudolph, who proved more reliable and efficient than Levis. Entering his third NFL season, Levis is working with independent QB coach Jordan Palmer this offseason to improve his footwork and pocket movement, according to head coach Brian Callahan. It would hardly be a surprise if Levis was on another roster come September.
