NFL DFS Week 15 WR Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy
With 12 games on the main slate for DraftKings, and 13 for FanDuel, there are options galore at the wide receiver position. Additionally, there are many good game environments as well, highlighted by the Buffalo-Detroit matchup with a total in the mid-50s.
However, other games that could see some points scored are Miami-Houston, Cincinnati-Tennessee, and maybe even Colts-Broncos as a sneaky shootout. In this week’s NFL DFS Week 15 WR Coach, you’ll see a lot of top priced options in this list, and many of the value plays are simply quality players that are just underpriced in these matchups.
Again, more of a champagne taste this week, but there’s value if you need to save some money at the wide receiver position. Keep on reading for some insights as to the particular receivers I like this week at all different price tiers!
NFL Week 15 Wide Receivers
NO MORE BYES! LET’S GO! However, we do have not one, but two Monday Night Football games, so the Bears, Vikings, Falcons, and Raiders are unavailable to us on Sunday’s main slate, along with the 49ers and Rams (Thursday Night Football).
Quick notes on the slate:
- 3 games with a line of at least 47 points, including the BUF-DET matchup which opened at 55!
- 6 games with a line of 44 or fewer points
NFL DFS WR Coach Week 14 Results
Our top tier picks were a bunch of whiffs unfortunately, but things were much better as we went on.
Davante Adams and Jordan Addison were massive highlights in the mid-tier.
The standout performer from the value tier was none other than Amari Cooper.
Fading A.J. Brown was great for our lineups, and Puka Nacua was flat out exceptional as our play of the week.
NFL DFS WR Top Tier Picks for Week 15
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $7,600 | FanDuel: $8,500
Vegas likes points to be scored in this game, and in the seven games Detroit has played this year where at least 49 points were scored, St. Brown has found the end zone in all but one of those games.
Buffalo has allowed some production to slot receivers of late, allowing the sixth-highest Y/RR and yards per target over expectation to the slot over the last six weeks, per Fantasy Points’ Data Suite. The production has been modest at best for St. Brown of late, but it’s hard not to look his way when you have a fantasy friendly game environment for the Lions, especially at home.
Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $7,400 | FanDuel: $8,700
This Miami-Houston game could very well be interesting, especially if you loathe watching teams run the ball. Miami and Houston are tied for the highest pass rate over expectation in the NFL over the last four weeks, per Fantasy Points’ Data Suite, and Hill is averaging nine targets per game over his last four games.
Furthermore, he’s scored a touchdown in four of his last five games, and his speed will give this Houston secondary fits. Houston has been abused out of the slot in recent weeks, and Hill leads all Dolphin wideouts in slot targets over the last four weeks, posting a 90.9 percent catch rate in the process.
Davante Adams, New York Jets - DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $7,900
Adams or Wilson this week? That’s the question. It’s really splitting hairs between these two in such a good matchup. While I prefer Adams slightly, I totally get saving a couple hundred dollars on both sites and going with Wilson.
Jacksonville runs a ton of man coverage, and Adams has been better recently in that department (3.00 Y/RR, 121.9 passer rating when targeted, per PFF). The Jags have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last four weeks, and the Jets are letting Aaron Rodgers air it out a bit more (4th-highest pass rate over expectation the last six weeks).
Adams has double-digit targets in four of his last five, and he’s found the end zone in three of his last five, so let’s keep the good times rolling against one of the league’s most vulnerable secondaries!
Nico Collins, Houston Texans - DraftKings: $8,100 | FanDuel: $9,200
Houston will run the ball, because Bobby Slowik will burst if they don’t run the ball, but like I mentioned with Hill, these teams have been a bit pass-happy recently to say the least. Since Collins has returned from injury, he’s picked up right where he’s left off, averaging 5.7 receptions on nine targets for 88.3 yards per game.
Those numbers would look even better if a couple of 40+ yard TDs weren’t nullified by a penalty! Collins is clearly the WR1 for the Houston Texans, and perhaps the bye week allowed the offense to reset. Keep an eye out to see if Houston looks to get Collins in the slot a bit more this week, as Kader Kahou has allowed a 138.2 passer rating when targeted and 2 TDs in slot coverage over the last four weeks.
Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals - DraftKings: $8,400 | FanDuel: $9,400
Just because this isn’t a primetime game, it doesn’t mean Chase can’t go nuclear. This matchup is ripe for the picking, and Chase could obliterate this zone-heavy Tennessee scheme. Yes, Chase just saw 18 targets on Monday Night Football, but beyond that, he has double-digit targets in five of his last six games!
Oh, he’s also found the end zone eight times over his last four games, with three multi-score efforts during that stretch. If Tennessee can score, this game could be very exciting from a fantasy standpoint, especially for Chase, one of the game’s premier wide receivers. There may not be a wideout with a higher ceiling in Week 15 than him.
NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks for NFL Week 15
Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders - DraftKings: $7,200 | FanDuel: $8,200
The Saints have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last four weeks, and the hope here is that the bye week allowed Jayden Daniels to actually get fully healthy.
McLaurin has 90+ yards or a receiving touchdown in 10 of his last 11 games, and his borderline-allergy to the slot in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense is far from a hindrance this week. Over the last six weeks, per Fantasy Points’ Data Suite, the Saints have allowed the third-highest Y/RR on the perimeter.
Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $7,300
Admittedly, the game script Vegas predicts doesn’t seem overly conducive to the Baltimore passing attack, as the game has a total in the lower-40s, and the Ravens are favored by two touchdowns.
However, the Giants secondary has been vulnerable to deep passes all year long, and Flowers is no stranger to making a big gain down the field. The Giants have been playing a fair amount of man coverage over the last couple of weeks, and Flowers has posted 2.16 Y/RR and nearly 14 yards per reception versus man coverage this year, per PFF.
Furthermore, the Giants also love to sit in Cover 3, and Flowers has a 28.8 percent target share, 3.61 Y/RR, and 17.1 yards per reception versus Cover 3 in 2024, per Fantasy Points’ Data Suite.
Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $6,100 | FanDuel: $7,000
Slot receivers against Detroit haven't hit quite like it was earlier in the year, and Jayden Reed’s goose egg last week didn’t help. However, I still think targeting Shakir in this matchup is worth it in DFS. Vegas thinks there will be a boatload of points scored (mid-50s line), and Shakir has 7+ targets in six straight games, averaging 6.3 receptions and 70.2 yards per game during that stretch.
He’ll have his work cut out for him against Detroit’s man-heavy defensive scheme, but it’s tough to run on Detroit, and if Buffalo wins this game, it’s because Josh Allen got it done through the air, and Shakir is going to play a vital role in that.
Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $6,600 | FanDuel: $7,200
When facing the Colts, you want productive wideouts on the perimeter who can get it done against zone coverage. Well, Sutton checks all those boxes. Over his last six games, he’s tallied 2.82 Y/RR and a 83.3 catch rate against zone coverage, per PFF.
Ever since his dreaded goose egg in Week 7, Sutton has received 8+ targets in every game, averaging seven receptions for 94.8 yards per game in that stretch. If you want to save some money, I’ll give a tip of the cap to Marvin Mims, who has been excellent against zone coverage in recent weeks, and Denver is finding ways to get the ball in his hands.
NFL Week 15 DFS WR Value Picks
Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $5,900 | FanDuel: $6,000
Another week, another Ridley writeup, I know. However, the target share is as steady as it comes, and how can you not want to go after this Cincinnati defense!? Ridley has the 10th-highest target share in the league over the last six weeks, and Cincy continues to play in higher scoring games.
Ridley is averaging eight targets per game over his last five contests, and with Cincy likely playing from behind, there should be enough volume for Ridley to get us a 2.5-3x return on investment.
Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $4,400 | FanDuel: $5,400
I really wanted to put Marvin Harrison in here, because he’s been solid against man coverage for the better part of the year. However, production hasn’t been as good of late, and Michael Wilson’s numbers have jumped off the page of late.
He’s notched at least 50 yards in three straight games, and over his last five games, his 2.52 Y/RR against man coverage leads Arizona’s primary pass-catchers, per PFF, and New England loves to play man coverage.
Over the last four weeks, he’s third in target share on the team and has a healthy 14.7 average depth of target (aDOT) and now gets a Patriots defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game during that same four week stretch.
Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers - DraftKings: $5,400 | FanDuel: $6,100
Bryce Young’s improved play has certainly been a joy to watch, and Adam Thieln has benefitted. Since his return to action, he’s posted 2.95 yards per route run (Y/RR) out of the slot, while catching 81.8 percent of his targets with an 11.1 aDOT, per PFF. He’s received double-digit targets in each of the last two weeks, and Dallas’ defense is nothing of which to be afraid.
Trust the target share and production, and it’s such a good matchup, as Dallas has really struggled in slot coverage over the last six weeks, allowing the 4th-most Y/RR and yards per target over expectation, per Fantasy Points’ Data Suite, to the slot.
NFL DFS WR Fades For Week 15
Michael Pittman, Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $5,200 | FanDuel: $6,300
Yes, Denver has been rather generous to opposing wide receivers lately in terms of fantasy points allowed, but Denver plays a lot of man coverage, and Pittman hasn’t been very productive against man coverage this year. Per PFF, Pittman has caught just 61.1 percent of his targets, with 0.76 Y/RR, 7.1 yards per reception, and a 9.3 aDOT.
In the games where Anthony Richardson played all of the game, or the vast majority of it, Pittman’s numbers drop even further, lowlighted by a 50 percent reception percentage, 5.8 yards per reception, and 0.40 Y/RR. There’s also the Patrick Surtain effect, which I don’t love.
NFL Week 15 WR Play Of The Week
Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $6,900
Kansas City is tough to throw on in general, but they have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points per game to wideouts over the last four weeks, and slot receivers have been able to find some production against the Chiefs recently. Yes, Elijah Moore gets more run out of the slot, but Jeudy gets his fair share of reps out of the slot.
Furthermore, it’s Jeudy, not Moore, who has been far more productive out of the slot, posting 2.03 Y/RR and a 118.8 passer rating when targeted, per PFF. It’s tough to run the ball on Kansas City, so expect Jameis Winston to air it out again, and yes, Jeudy has been a top five PPR receiver over the last four weeks.
