Week 7 of the NFL season has arrived and we have yet another 10 game main slate on DraftKings and 11 games over on FanDuel as we have the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys on their bye weeks. We also have the Jaguars and Patriots playing in London on Sunday morning to go along with our usual primetime games on Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights.

This week, we once again look to take advantage of some top matchups for our NFL DFS Week 7 QB coach as I bring you my NFL DFS Week 7 QB coach top targets, values and fades to build your lineups around this weekend.

Honestly, a pretty good week last week all things considered.

Yes, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys laid the biggest egg of all eggs for the DFS community with Prescott being the highest rostered QB of the slate but the QB coach had five of the top eight scoring QB's on DraftKings.

As a Patriots fan I'll be happily wrong on the fade Drake Maye call. He was a rookie QB in a really bad spot making his starting debut and yet we saw him make some plays that should have the DFS community and Patriots fans everywhere a bit excited for what could be in the coming weeks.

NFL DFS Week 7 QB Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

Our Week 7 DFS slate features five QB's over $7,000 on DraftKings and just seven QB's priced over $8,000 on FanDuel.

With bye weeks and primetime games this week we are without Dak Prescott, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, Bo Nix, Spencer Rattler, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson/Justin Fields, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert on the main slate for DraftKings and everyone but Rodgers and Wilson/Fields on FanDuel.

When it comes to game totals this week we have three games with totals over 50 points with the Seahawks vs Falcons and Panthers vs Commanders checking in at 51.5 and the Lions vs Vikings sitting at 50.5 points.

NFL DFS QB Top Tier Picks For Week 7

Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders - DraftKings: $7,600 | FanDuel: $7,600

This seems like one of those spots where you just don't overthink it. The Carolina Panthers defense has been pretty much non-existent while Jayden Daniels continues to dominate teams with both his arm and his legs.

Yes, he is the most expensive QB on DraftKings and second most on FanDuel but the man has only failed to perform one time this season and that was back in Week 2.

Sign me up for the Jayden Daniels experience this week.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $7,300 | FanDuel: $8,500

The Eagles offense looked better last week and that likely had to do with the fact that for once everyone was healthy. Hurts had AJ Brown and Devonta Smith back in the lineup and against a tough Browns defense he threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns while adding 33 yards on the ground.

In Week 7 we see the Eagles on the road against the Giants ,a tough divisional matchup with the Giants playing a bit better defense of late but I'm still willing to bank on a strong performance from Hurts, especially as it looks like the Giants offense is getting healthier with Malik Nabers possibly returning and maybe turning this game into a bit more back and forth than anticipated.

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers - DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $8,700

One of my favorite QB's heading into the season, Hurts has thrown for four touchdowns in two of the last three weeks. As a QB in DFS we need to see the touchdowns and we are loving that upside from Love this season. He really good wide receivers and those receivers are making the plays when Love looks their way.

This week we see the Packers at home against the Texans in a battle between two of the league top young QB's.

Let's look for C.J. Stroud and Jordan Love to put on a show for us this weekend with Love coming through with another big week.

NFL DFS QB Mid-Tier Picks For NFL Week 7

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,800

We expected the running game to take over for the Lions last week and while they were good, it was Jared Goff that had the big time performance. He is more than capable of putting up big fantasy days given the pass catchers on the roster, especially with the leap that Jameson Williams has made this season.

The Lions vs Vikings game has 50.5 game total and both teams have good run defenses which I'm hoping will force the passing games to take over.

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,700

A favorite cash game play of mine this week. The Chiefs have been pretty good against the run this season and Jordan Mason may not be 100% after the shoulder injury suffered last Thursday night. The 49ers have one of the better pass catching groups in football with Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle all making plays.

Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets - FanDuel: $6,900

I mean, if it was clear to everyone before, it should be now after the Jets went out and traded for Davante Adams a week after they fired head coach Robert Saleh. This is the Aaron Rodgers show in New York. Adams is expected to be ready to play this week for the Jets, likely because this deal has been in the works for longer than anyone will admit to. With an offense now of Davante Adams, Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Breece Hall at his disposal, Rodgers is set up to with elite playmakers that can help him be a true DFS QB1 rest of season.

NFL Week 7 DFS QB Value Picks

Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $7,400

I got to be honest, I don't really love Richardson this week. But the price tag at $6,000 is pretty cheap and the Dolphins defense has been pretty horrendous. If Joe Flacco was starting for the Colts he may have been my QB play of the week but since it is looking like it's Richardson I will just give him a mention. The rushing upside obviously drives his value but he does have strong pass catching options in Michael Pittman, Josh Downs and Alec Pierce.

I would not go into this week playing Richardson in single entry contests or cash games but if I am building 20 lineups, he would make the player pool.

Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks - DraftKings: $5,800 | FanDuel: $7,600

Seeing Smith back under $6,000 on DraftKings seems a bit disrespectful for the guy who leads the NFL in passing yards and has just one week this season with fewer than 17.5 fantasy points. He is the 9th highest priced QB over on FanDuel, so a bit more reasonable in terms of where he should fit into the player pool over there.

Sure, the six touchdowns and six interceptions aren't great but the matchup against the Falcons could turn into a sneaky shootout and if we get 20 fantasy points this week that is a win.

Tyler Huntley, Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $5,100 | FanDuel: $6,700

I tend to give teams coming out of a bye week an edge and if we believe that Mike McDaniel is QB and offensive guru that we think he is then I trust that with the extra week to prepare and game plan that Tyler Huntley could be in a good spot this week against one of the worst defenses in all of football as they face the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts are allowing the fourth most fantasy points to the QB position and Miami still has elite playmakers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Huntley also has rushing upside which we saw in his season debut against the Titans where he ran for 40 yards and a touchdown.

He's another QB that would be in my player pool if building multiple lineups in a 20-max and I'd consider him in my 3-max entry pool as well.

NFL DFS QB Fades For Week 7

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs - DraftKings: $7,000 | FanDuel: $8,000

I know, it seems blasphemous to even think of fading Patrick Mahomes, especially after what we just saw JuJu Smith-Schuster do last week and the fact that Travis Kelce is looking better and better.

That said, we have the 49ers, at home, on a long week after playing last Thursday to go out and prepare to stop this Chiefs defense.

We also have to assume there is a bit of a revenge narrative here after the Chiefs beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl.

It's not that I don't think Mahomes will have a good game, he might have a “good game” but not good enough for him to have the upside of the other QB's priced around him on this slate.

NFL Week 7 QB Play Of The Week

Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $7,500

I mentioned during the Jared Goff write up that I think this game has some really nice potential. I also mentioned during the Tyler Huntley write up that I give teams coming out of a bye a bit of an edge.

Well, that is the Minnesota Vikings and that is Sam Darnold this week for me.

We also consider Kevin O'Connell to be a QB/Offensive guru and Darnold has looked every bit the part this season with the lone exception being that start against the Jets where he got hurt, and clearly played with a minor injury of sorts.

The Lions have a really good run defense but they tend to struggle against the pass and, of course, last week lost their defensive leader and sack leader in Aiden Hutchinson to a season ending injury.

With Aaron Jones also looking unlikely to play, the offense should really be focused on the passing attack here this week and we may even see the return of T.J. Hockenson who was designated to return last week and has logged some limited practices.
