Week 2 of the NFL season has come and gone, and we are now heading to Week 3! I’m here to bring you my favorite wide receivers in my NFL DFS Week 3 WR coach piece for lineups on DraftKings’ and FanDuel’s main slate. There are some interesting games on the slate, and I find myself liking some players from offenses you may not be expecting!

NFL DFS WR Results: Week 2 Coach

The NFL DFS Week 2 WR Coach certainly had its hits and misses.

For our top plays we certainly were not upset with the outputs from Deebo Samuel, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Ceedee Lamb but the injury to Cooper Kupp and the struggles from Mike Evans and Garrett Wilson let us down.

In the Mid-Tier, Rashee Rice and Malik Nabers stood tall while Amari Cooper and Terry McLaurin just were not able to take advantage of their matchups.

For the value plays, Wan'Dale Robinson found the end zone but Ladd McConkey was not able to repeat his Week 1 performance.

From the Fades, Ja'Marr Chase had an OK day but not enough to pay off the price tag and for the High Upside play, Gabe Davis did get seven targets but just was not able to convert.

NFL DFS Week 3 WR Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

The Week 3 WR player pool is loaded with some strong mid-tier options and some great values to help us build out our DFS lineups. This DFS slate has a few high game totals which includes the matchup between the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals which sits at 52.5 points and this is a game with some really strong wide receiver plays that will garner some decent ownership this week.

We also have some very interesting value plays, with the Rams missing their top two receivers, the 49ers being without Deebo Samuel and maybe even George Kittle and the Carolina Panthers making a change to Andy Dalton at their QB spot.

Let's dive into this week's top plays, values and fades at the WR position.

NFL DFS WR Top-Tier Picks For Week 3

Ceedee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys - DraftKings: $8,800 | FanDuel $9,100

The Ravens are often known for having a good defense but through the first two weeks of the season we've seen them torched by opposing number one wide receivers with Rashee Rice and Davante Adams having big performances. In Week 3 things do not get any easier for the Ravens as they travel to Dallas and will need to deal with Ceedee Lamb.

Last week Lamb broke loose for his first touchdown of the season while racking up 90 yards on four receptions.

Baltimore's run defense is still pretty solid so I'd look for Lamb to be heavily targeted this week.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $8,200 | FanDuel $9,100

After everyone was panicking in Week 1, we saw ARSB have 19 targets in Week 2. The Lions are on the road against the Cardinals in Week 3 in a game with a 52.5 total where St. Brown figures to be heavily involved in the offense once again.

Marvin Harrison, Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $7,400 | FanDuel $9,100

Opposite of St.Brown is rookie Marvin Harrison who had a monster Week 2 after concerns due to his Week 1 performance against the Bills.

The Lions secondary is their weak spot and the Cardinals are unlikely to get much going on the ground which should mean plenty of targets going MHJ's way in this high game total matchup.

NFL DFS WR Mid-Tier Picks For NFL Week 3

Devonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $9,100

Its not looking like AJ Brown is going to play this week for the Eagles in their matchup against the Saints which means another week where Devonta Smith will be the top receiver in this Eagles offense.

Make no mistake, Smith is a WR1 in this league and if he was on any other team he would likely be putting up AJ Brown like numbers so there is no drop off in talent. The Eagles offense loves to run the football and defenses need to defend the run which puts some defensive spots where Smith can take advantage of his matchup much like we saw last week.

Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel $9,100

Deebo Samuel is out, Christian McCaffrey is out and now George Kittle is missing practice due to a hamstring injury.

The Friday injury report will tell the full story but if Kittle doesn't practice again we could be looking at Aiyuk being the big dog in this 49ers passing attack this week in a good matchup against a very bad Rams defense.

Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints - DraftKings: $6,300 | FanDuel $9,100

The popular trend this week will be playing the Saints against the Eagles. The Eagles pass defense has let them down through the first two weeks while the Saints offense is putting up over 40 points per game.

Olave hasn't exactly popped in either game for the Saints but that doesn't mean he won't and this price tag is honestly way too cheap for what his ceiling can be, especially in this game with a 49.5 game total.

NFL Week 3 DFS WR Value Picks

Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $5,800 | FanDuel: $5,800

If you know anything about me then you know I've been loving Williams since he was drafted. The kid was electric at the college level and he just has not been able to get it going through his first two years as he dealt with injury and suspension but all reports this offseason were that Williams had re-dedicated himself and boy it shows.

He has been targeted often by Jared Goff and he is a big time playmaker for this offense. As we've mentioned, this game has a 52.5 total and he IS going to make some plays this weekend.

Demarcus Robinson, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $5,000 | FanDuel: $5,000

The Rams are down Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua here this weekend against the 49ers and Robinson figures to slot in as the top wide receiver.

The value is the appeal here and he is likely a better cash game play than a GPP option as I'm not sure the Rams put up many points against the 49ers this weekend.

Diontae Johnson, Carolina Panthers - DraftKings: $4,900 | FanDuel: $4,900

Andy Dalton threw the ball 58 times in his lone start last season. If we get anything close to that here in Week 3 against the Raiders now that his the starting QB then all of the Panthers pass catchers are going to break the slate.

You can go Adam Thielen if you wish but I'm going with Diontae Johnson here having a good game against the Raiders.

Jordan Whittington, Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $4,200 | FanDuel: $4,200

Another Rams receiver but he is cheaper than Robinson. Whittington was a 6th round pick that made some noise during the preseason and then played 50% of the offensive snaps last week once Copper Kupp went down with an injury.

He's going to play and hes going to get some targets in this game.

NFL DFS WR Fades For Week 3

Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins - DraftKings: $8,400 | FanDuel: $8,400

Skylar Thompson is the QB for the Dolphins this week. That's probably all you really need to know here. We just can't pay the price tag for Hill given the QB situation even if he is capable of breaking off a big play at any time.

Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DraftKings: $7,200 | FanDuel: $7,200

This just isn't a great matchup for Evans. The Broncos defense is solid at the cornerback position and Evans is going to see Pat Surtain who has been a strong shutdown corner since entering the league.

NFL Week 3 WR Play of The Week

Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $5,300

He's the cover of the WR Coach this week and that's because he is the play of the week.

We love Shaheed coming into this season with the Clint Kubiak offensive system and he has been a big play machine, scoring long touchdowns in both games this season.

The Eagles gave up a number of big plays in the passing game last week with Darnell Mooney breaking off a few late in their collapse against the Falcons.

I'd look for Shaheed to get open deep a few times in this game and for Carr to be taking shots for the home run.
