NFL DFS Week 10 TE Coach: Travis Kelce, George Kittle & Dalton Kincaid
Published: Nov 07, 2024
Well folks, our streak was broken. It was bound to happen at some point. We hit on the top main slate tight end in 8 of our last 9 articles.
This week the top main slate DraftKings tight ends were Mike Gesicki, Brock Bowers, Theo Johnson, Jake Ferguson, and Trey McBride. And, though we did have the TE2 in Brock Bowers, Mike Gesicki’s two touchdown day took the top spot.

It wasn’t a complete loss though as Brock Bowers, Evan Engram, and Hunter Henry were all top 8 on the main slate. We also successfully faded guys like Cole Kmet and T.J. Hockenson.
It won’t be perfect every week, but we just have to keep playing the odds and giving ourselves the best chance to succeed – ala, the NFL DFS Week 10 TE Coach!
NFL DFS TE Top Tier Picks For Week 10
Travis Kelce, TE Kansas City Chiefs DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $7,000
We aren’t messing around at the top with tight ends this week. And you can check NFL DFS TE Fades section at the bottom of this article for the reasoning on why we don’t like any tight end priced above $5,000 except these two.
Think about how good Cade Otton has been lately. Otton has averaged 9.25 targets over the last four games. Travis Kelce has somehow been even better, averaging 10.75.
It turns out that DeAndre Hopkins is the perfect complement on the outside to open things up inside for Travis Kelce. This week, Hopkins will face Pat Surtain out there. So I really don’t see a world where Kelce isn’t heavily involved once again.
He’s about as safe as it gets but you’ll need to pay up for him on DraftKings. On FanDuel, he’s actually cheaper than George Kittle and Trey McBride which is odd given that it is a half PPR format and Trey McBride has yet to score a receiving touchdown.
George Kittle TE San Francisco 49ers - DraftKings: $5,300 | FanDuel: $6,400
As we will lay out in the Fades section, there are a lot of bad situations for tight ends this week. Not George Kittle; his QB is healthy, Brandon Aiyuk is done for the season, and he gets the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. They are not only 30th in points allowed to the tight end but Travis Kelce just got 16 targets against them.
George Kittle is one of the few tight ends that can thrive on limited targets. His unique size plus speed combo along with the 49ers scheme has led him to have 18 plays of 40+ yards over the last seven years. Travis Kelce has 14 of those plays and the next highest active player is Jonnu Smith with 7.
NFL DFS TE Mid-Tier Picks For NFL Week 10
Dalton Kincaid, TE Buffalo Bills - DraftKings: $4,900 | FanDuel: $6,000
With all the movement and excitement, it may have been easy to overlook that Dalton Kincaid has the 8th most targets of any tight end over his last four games.
And, of the names ahead of him, we explained why we are in on Kelce and Kittle, Bowers and Njoku are on bye, and we gave notes below on Otton, Engram, and Ferguson. Amari Cooper was eased in his first game and missed last week. But the reality of Amari Cooper isn’t much different than the situation with DeAndre Hopkins and Travis Kelce.
There is not much overlap in what they do - the targets for Amari are likely to come at the expense of guys like Keon Coleman and Mack Hollins if they do. And it could open things up underneath for Kincaid.
The Colts have given up the fourth most points to tight ends so far this season. So this is a pretty good spot to use Kincaid with a price tag under $5,000 on DraftKings and exactly $6,000 on FanDuel. Hopefully Flacco can make this one a shootout.
Dallas Goedert, TE Detroit Lions, DraftKings: $4,800 | FanDuel: $6,300
This one is contingent on AJ Brown missing this week. It was reported that he would miss time but he did return to practice on a limited basis. We really only like Goedert when one of AJ Brown or DeVonta Smith are out. We also actually need Goedert to play himself.
But, if AJ Brown is out, we have to use Goedert. The last two times AJ Brown was inactive, Dallas Goedert got 11 and 8 targets. DeVonta Smith will do his thing but Jahan Dotson is simply not going to step in and absorb the workload a guy like AJ Brown would command.
This is a division game against a Cowboys team that has struggled, and the Eagles are battling for the division lead with the Commanders. They can’t afford to drop this one.
NFL DFS TE Value Picks For NFL Week 10
Hunter Henry TE New England Patriots - DraftKings: $3,900 | FanDuel: $5,300
They did not change Hunter Henry’s price at all on DraftKings. And, on FanDuel, it actually went DOWN. They aren’t seeing what we are seeing and that is fine with us - we’ll keep taking advantage.
Since Drake Maye took over, Hunter Henry has been the TE8 in PPR. He has been a top 10 tight end in targets. In fact, over the entire season, he leads his team in routes run, targets, receptions, yards, and is tied for touchdowns (with one, but still).
He should not be priced below guys like Pat Freiermuth and Cole Kmet who have done very little as of late. And we really aren’t worried about the Bears defense over the middle - it’s Jaylon Johnson on the outside that is the real problem but that’s a problem for the wide receivers.
Chig Okonkwo, TE Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $3,000 | FanDuel: $4,900
This might be surprising to some as we have not utilized Chig Okonkwo much so far this year. But we think this is the perfect time to use him as a sneaky play and, if things play out like we hope, he could be an option down the stretch with an easy Titans pass schedule.
Early on, we had concerns with the rotation between Chig Okonkwo and Josh Whyle that saw Whyle playing more than Okonkwo at times. As of late though, Chig’s snaps have increased in each of the last five weeks which culminated this week in Chig playing 73% and Whyle only playing 16%. This could time up nicely with the return of Will Levis.
With DeAndre Hopkins gone, there are targets to be had. This isn’t an ideal matchup for Chig but it’s not ideal for Calvin Ridley even. The rostership numbers for Okonkwo should be low and the price is just right for a deeper dart throw.
NFL DFS TE Fades For Week 10
All The Elite Tight Ends Not Named Travis Kelce Or George Kittle
- Trey McBride faces the New York Jets, who are one of the toughest pass defenses and are allowing the 6th DK points to the tight end.
- Cade Otton has arguably the toughest matchup a tight end can have with Fred Warner and DeVondre Campbell over the middle. SF held Travis Kelce to 17 yards.
- Evan Engram’s quarterback is expected to be Mac Jones this week against the Minnesota Vikings.
- Jake Ferguson’s quarterback is expected to be Cooper Rush against the Philadelphia Eagles.
