The Warriors announced that Brandin Podziemski underwent surgery on his left wrist on Wednesday.

Podziemski underwent a successful left wrist debridement procedure on his left wrist on Wednesday. According to the Warriors, the 2023 first-round pick is expected to be healthy in time for the start of training camp in the fall. After finishing fifth in Rookie of the Year voting in 2023-24, Podziemski’s averages improved in points, steals and three-pointers this season. While he may not be an offensive focal point for the Warriors next season, Podziemski’s status as a starter will make him a worthwhile selection in fantasy drafts.

Roman Anthony went 1-for-4 with a walk on Wednesday for Triple-A Worcester.

The calls to promote Anthony, the consensus top prospect in baseball, are only going to increase with the Red Sox losing their fifth consecutive game on Wednesday afternoon. The 21-year-old prodigy seemingly has nothing left to prove at the Triple-A level as he continues to record stratospheric exit velocities and tear the cover off the ball. He should get his opportunity to make an impact at the highest level at some point in the near future.

Andrés Giménez (quad) went 1-for-3 with a double on Wednesday in a minor league rehab game for Low-A Dunedin.

Giménez kicked off his rehab assignment by playing seven innings at second base. He’ll get another game under his belt on Thursday before the Blue Jays re-evaluate his status. The 26-year-old infielder hit the injured list back on May 9 with a right quad strain.

Eury Pérez (elbow) registered four strikeouts over five shutout innings on Wednesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Jacksonville.

Pérez flashed his trademark top-of-the-rotation upside in his seventh rehab start as he inches closer to making his return from last year’s Tommy John surgery. The 22-year-old is expected to only require one additional rehab outing before joining Miami’s rotation for his season debut at some point in early June. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats given his talent and upside potential.

Cade Cavalli recorded 10 strikeouts over five shutout innings on Wednesday for Triple-A Rochester.

Cavalli limited a strong Triple-A Columbus lineup to just three hits and one walk, needing just 70 pitches (51 strikes) to navigate five frames. The 26-year-old former first-round pick was one of the better pitching prospects in the sport before undergoing Tommy John surgery just prior to the 2023 season. Given the state of Washington’s starting rotation, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get an opportunity in the second half, especially if he keeps pitching like this.

Parker Meadows (arm) went 0-for-3 with a walk on Wednesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Toledo.

Meadows has logged two games in center field so far at the Triple-A level and appears to be trending towards making it back to Detroit’s lineup in early June. The 25-year-old power/speed combo threat showed some real promise down the stretch to close out last year and represents a worthwhile stash candidate, especially in deeper mixed leagues.
