Tigers signed RHP Geoff Hartlieb to a minor league contract.

The 31-year-old hurler elected free agency from the Yankees on Friday and it didn’t take him long to find another viable opportunity with a contender. He’ll report to Triple-A Toledo to begin his Tigers’ tenure, but don’t be surprised to see him in Motown shortly after the All-Star break.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, at least eight teams have reached out to the White Sox to express interest in acquiring Luis Robert Jr.

The dynamic 27-year-old outfielder is having a brutal season offensively, slashing .189/.275/.322 with nine homers, 34 RBI and 22 stolen bases. The common assumption though is that he just needs a change of scenery. Heyman didn’t note any of the teams that have checked in, but expect it to be a who’s who of contenders in both leagues.

Egor Demin accumulated 12 points (4-of-13 FGs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Wizards.

While Demin’s overall field goal percentage on Sunday left something to be desired, 10 of his 13 attempts came from beyond the arc. He made four, a solid percentage for a player who shot 27.3 percent from beyond the arc during his lone season at BYU. With Nolan Traoré (7/6/3) and Ben Saraf (7/2/6/1/1) coming off the bench, the Nets relied on veteran Tristan Etienne to run the show, and the change made the team more competitive than they were on Friday. That will be something to watch the rest of the summer, especially with the Nets losing D’Angelo Russell in free agency.

Drew Timme accounted for 30 points (13-of-24 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Wizards.

Timme has been outstanding in Las Vegas, even if the Nets are now 0-2 following Sunday’s defeat. The former Gonzaga standout went off for a game-high 30 points, shooting over 50 percent from the field. While his contract is only partially guaranteed until January 10, Timme has played well enough thus far to ensure he has a fair opportunity to earn minutes for the Nets next season. He isn’t an option in most fantasy leagues, but Timme may occasionally be a worthwhile streamer.

Will Riley accounted for 16 points (5-of-6 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three assists and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Nets.

Having struggled in his summer league debut on Friday, Riley was unquestionably motivated to bounce back. The first-round pick out of Illinois did that, only missing one shot from the field and making three three-pointers. Riley did not offer any value outside of points, rebounds and assists, but it would help the Wizards during the regular season if he could knock down perimeter shots consistently. Last season, Washington ranked 29th in three-point percentage and dead last in offensive rating.

Alex Sarr finished Sunday’s win over the Nets with 16 points (7-of-15 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 12 rebounds, two assists and eight blocked shots.

After a decent performance in his summer league opener on Friday, Sarr was outstanding on Sunday against the Nets. The rim protection was elite, with the second-year center blocking eight shots and changing a few others, and he also hit double digits in rebounds. While there are still some issues with Sarr finishing through contact, he’s trending in the right direction after a solid rookie season. He should be selected in all drafts, as Sarr is a lock to be in the starting lineup.
