Welcome to the NFL DFS Week 4 RB Coach article! It was a bit of a mixed bag for me last week. With 25.7 DraftKings points and 24.2 FanDuel points Zach Charbonnet really came through as a mid-tier NFL DFS RB option.

Even if Kenneth Walker is out again this week, I’ll stay away from Charbonnet and his tough Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions. Cincinnati Bengals NFL DFS RB Zack Moss was a good call as a value play with his 20.7 DK point/18.2 FD point performance against a run friendly Washington Commanders defense.

NFL DFS Week 4 RB Coach For FanDuel & DraftKings Fantasy

Moss (DK $5,900/FD $6,900) should have another nice week against the Carolina Panthers in Week 4. Unfortunately, New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson, another one of my mid-tier NFL DFL RB coach suggestions, still hasn’t shown up for his Week 3 matchup (1.3 DK pts/0.3 FD pts).

I expect him to rebound in Week 4 against a San Francisco 49ers defense that is surprisingly friendly to NFL DFS RBs, but I think I’ll hold off on officially making him an NFL DFS Week 4 RB Coach recommended starter.

NFL Week 4 Running Backs

So, it’s looking like Carson Steele is the Kansas City Chiefs’ early down back (he won’t beg for a day off even if his sister is getting married) but I’ll still take another week to watch him from the sidelines to see if Kareem Hunt is active and cuts into his playing time in Week 4.

I’ll be watching Denver Broncos RB Tyler Badie this week to see if his increased usage was something that will continue in Week 4 or was due to the Broncos’ big fourth quarter lead. He could eventually emerge as an NFL DFS Week RB Coach option as the season unfolds.

We’re still uncertain if Seattle Seahawks NFL DFS RB Kenneth Walker or Houston Texans RB Joe Mixon will be active in Week 4 but I am pretty sure that you should consider adding the following NFL DFS Week 4 RBs into your lineups so that they can help you win some cash!

These are my favorite NFL DFS Week 4 RB picks and hopefully by the end of Week 4 they’ll be your favorites as well!

NFL DFS RB Top-Tier Picks For Week 4

Saquon Barkley, RB Philadelphia Eagles - DraftKings: $8,000 | FanDuel: $9,700

It’s basically a toss-up, but Barkley and Alvin Kamara have been the top NFL DFS RBs so far this season. Both are just about matchup proof, but I like Barkley’s matchup a lot more than Kamara’s this week.

He’s facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, and they have given up 4.52 yards per carry (YPC) and the most receptions (24) to NFL DFS RBs this season. Despite that brutal dropped pass in the fourth quarter against the Falcons in Week 2 the Eagles have been using Barkley in their passing game.

He’s averaging 30.1 DK points and 28.5 FD points on the season. Based on his projected Week 4 production I believe that Barkley is worth his $8,000 DraftKings price. His $9,700 FanDuel price tag is a bit steep so if you’re looking for RB chalk on that platform, you’ll want to check out my next recommendation.

Breece Hall, RB New York Jets - DraftKings: $7,800 | FanDuel: $8,000

It’s been a pretty slow start for Hall this season (3.7 YPC) but he’s got a favorable matchup against the Denver Broncos which can potentially make him one of the more productive NFL DFS RBs on the slate.

The Broncos are coming off a big Week 3 win but they’re giving up 4.44 yards per carry to NFL DFS RBs. Every week a different running back has had success running the ball against the Broncos.

They’ve been shredded by the likes of Kenneth WalkerNajee HarrisJaylen Warren and fantasy’s hottest waiver wire pick up of the week… Bucky Irving week after week. Look for a Breece Hall breakout game in Week 4 and take advantage of his surprisingly affordable $8,000 FanDuel price.

Kyren Williams, RB Los Angeles Rams - DraftKings: $7,300 | FanDuel: $8,100

I decided to watch Williams from the sidelines in Week 3 and missed out on his 31.6 DraftKings/30.6 FanDuel points performance. He’s scored at least one TD in each of his first three games, and he faces the Chicago Bears in Week 4 and they’ve given up four rushing TDs (3 to Indianapolis Colts RBs last week) this season.

Predicting that an RB will score a TD in any given week is tough, but with the Bears giving up 4.58 YPC to NFL DFS RBs, if they do end Williams’ TD scoring streak, he’s likely to still have a productive game. I’m not loving his FanDuel price tag but at $7,300, his DraftKings price makes him a less expensive way to get a top-tier RB into your DFS lineup.

NFL DFS RB Mid-Tier Picks For Week 4

David Montgomery, RB Detroit Lions - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,400

Montgomery is another NFL DFS RB who has scored at least one TD in each of his first three games of the season. He’s averaging 19.2 DK pts/17.83 FD points so far and has a sneaky good matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4.

Seattle is giving up the fifth fewest receiving yards to NFL DFS RBs, but they’ve allowed 302 rushing yards (4.31 yards per carry) to RBs. With Montgomery being the Lions’ primary early down back he has a good chance of having a big day in a good home matchup.

James Conner, RB Arizona Cardinals - DraftKings: $6,500 | FanDuel: $7,500

I’m looking for Conner to have a nice bounce back home game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Conner was a much better NFL DFS RB when he played at home last season, rushing for 5.53 YPC when he played in Arizona’s State Farm Stadium, and 4.45 YPC when he played on the road.

This season is still young, but that home/road split is even more pronounced (4.63/3.13) in 2024. He faces a Commanders run defense that’s given up 5.16 YPC to NFL DFS RBs. It's a short week for the Commanders coming off of an emotional Monday night win and they’ll have to travel way across the country for a second consecutive road game. I like Conner’s chances to earn his NFL DFS RB salary in Week 4.

NFL DFS RB Value Picks For Week 4

Tony Pollard, RB Tennessee Titans - DraftKings: $6,000 | FanDuel: $6,700

Pollard is another NFL DFS RB looking to bounce back from a bad Week 3.

The Titans got crushed by the Green Bay Packers so game script probably played a big part in his anemic 14 rushing yard performance last week, but he’s got a juicy matchup against a Miami Dolphins team that hasn’t been able to stop the run.

They’ve allowed 4.92 YPC and given up the fifth highest average PPR fantasy points per game to RBs this season.

Devin Singletary, RB New York Giants - DraftKings: $5,900 | FanDuel: $6,400

I almost can’t believe that I’m recommending Singletary against a Dallas Cowboys team that has owned the Giants recently, but America’s team can’t stop the run! They’ve given up the fourth most rushing yards to NFL DFS RBs (392) for an average of 5.44 YPC!

Giants head coach Brian Daboll (who has been calling plays for Big Blue this season) loves Singletary, and the Giants’ RB has been flying under the radar this season. Singletary has 16 rushes and a TD in each of his last two games and is averaging 4.69 YPC on the season.

He scored 19.8 DraftKings points and 16.8 FanDuel points last week and he’s averaging 14.8 DraftKings/12.66 FanDuel points per game this season.

NFL DFS RB Fades For Week 4

Javonte Williams, RB Denver Broncos - DraftKings: $5,200 | FanDuel: $5,600

The Jets might not have the most stellar run defense, but I expect them to manhandle the Broncos this week.

Williams’ DraftKings and FanDuel salary make him an affordable NFL DFS RB option but game script, and Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie potentially cutting into his playing time, make me want to avoid using Williams in Week 4.

Jonathan Taylor, RB Indianapolis Colts - DraftKings: $7,700 | FanDuel: $8,200

On the one hand, Taylor is matchup proof, but on the other the Pittsburgh Steelers have given up the second lowest average PPR fantasy points per game and just 3.35 YPC to NFL DFS RBs this season.

There are other RBs in his price range (and some even cheaper options) that I have more confidence in using in DFS this week. He’s always a must start in season long fantasy football but I’m not including him in my DFS lineups in Week 4.

NFL Week 4 RB Play Of The Week

Aaron Jones, RB Minnesota Vikings - DraftKings: $6,400 | FanDuel: $7,600

Yeah, you’re thinking I made this my NFL DFS Week 4 RB Coach top pick because of the revenge game factor but it’s more than that.

Sure, Jones wants to run the ball down the throats of a Green Bay Packers team that let him walk after he spent the first seven years of his NFL career with them. But he is having a great start to his 2024 season. The 30-year-old veteran RB is finally healthy, and he has seemingly turned back the clock!

Jones is averaging 5.4 yards per carry and 19.5 DK points and 17.16 FD points this season. To be fair, the Packers run defense has had to play against Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor in two of their three games so far, but they’ve given up a hefty 5.0 yards per carry to the RB position this season.
