Jets vs. Cardinals Predictions, Picks & Odds: NFL Week 10, Sunday 11/10
There’s no more time to “work through some things”. It is Week 10. And both these teams are in must-win spots for different reasons. The Jets have now lost six games and cannot afford to lose any more if they want to keep the dream alive.
The Cardinals set atop their division at 5-4 but every team in the division has 4 wins. A loss this week could send them plummeting down those standings.
Aaron Rodgers with his back against the ropes is a dangerous man. But the Cardinals have been hot lately, and their defense is playing well at the right time. We’ll have to dig into the data and narratives here to get a read on our Week 10 Jets vs. Cardinals predictions!

Jets vs. Cardinals Predictions For NFL Week 10, Sunday 11/10
Given it’s an inter conference game, these teams do not play very often. In fact, the last time these two teams squared off was in 2020 when the Cardinals beat the Jets 30-10. But obviously these are very different teams in 2024 so that’s not giving us much to work with.
The Jets kept their season alive with a tough win last week against the Houston Texans. That follows a bad loss to the New England Patriots as part of a five-game losing streak. The Cardinals on the other hand have won three straight as well as four of their last five.
New York Jets: Finally On The Same Page
The Jets' offense set themselves up for this to some degree. Not only did Aaron Rodgers miss a good chunk of the offseason. And not only did they make a lot of offseason changes. They have now made two midseason trades to acquire Davante Adams and send off Mike Williams. So, it’s not surprising it’s been disjointed up until now.
On defense, everyone knows that the Jets secondary is formidable. Upfront they have not been great vs. the run. They’re actually ranked 24th in DVOA in that category. Defensive end Haason Reddick ended his holdout a couple of weeks ago which certainly helps that front seven, but it’s still been a point of weakness.
Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Struggles Early
It’s hard to complain while the team is winning games. But the Cardinals offense has not felt like it is playing up to the sum of its parts. We know that Kyler Murray can be great - but he hasn’t.
Trey McBride has yet to score a touchdown. And Marvin Harrison has flashed at times but, in general, has not lived up to expectations. This is in spite of James Conner staying healthy all year which is a rare occurrence for him. Jonathan Gannon is a defensive-minded coach. And it’s not easy to turn a defense around.
But they struggled for the first 25 games of Gannon’s tenure. That was until last week when they generated the most pressure they have in as long as I can remember. To put it in perspective, in Week 8 they hurried Tua Tagovailoa 3 times. Last week they hurried Caleb Williams 24 times. Night and day.

Jets vs. Cardinals Predictions: New York Jets Money Line (-125 at BetMGM Sportsbook)
This could be a close one. So, we’re willing to pay a little extra juice to not have to deal with the 1.5 point spread. But, at the end of the day, I think the New York Jets manage to pull this game out. Aaron Rodgers and company know that the game is over if they drop this one - or anyone moving forward. And there is extra motivation there.
The Arizona Cardinals offense lacks true identity right now. And Marvin Harrison has struggled, especially against good corners. The Jets have three and their zone is stifling so there’s really nowhere to hide. They have been a top five defense this year against the tight end in terms of fantasy points allowed so Trey McBride has a tough task ahead as well. James Conner will need to have a big game.
Even if the Cardinals can bring a semblance of last week’s pass rush, Aaron Rodgers has a knack for neutralizing it. He plays games before the snap and slows the games down when he wants. And he knows when he needs to get the ball out quickly. With two stud wide receivers and pass-catching back Breece Hall, I think this Cardinals defense might be in trouble.
