It’s time to start making your picks for your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools as NFL Week 6 has officially arrived. We’ve got a fantastic NFC West rivalry on Thursday Night Football as the San Francisco 49ers square off against the Seattle Seahawks in a game that might be a tough to pick this week.

After a slow start to the season, we’ve made up more ground following another solid week. We, like many in our 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pool, went just 8-6, but with all the upsets and most having the 49ers and Seahawks as their top picks last week, our high-value picks that went against the grain pushed us up the standings. Who knew I’d be jazzed up for a Cowboys win over the Steelers?

But this is a new week, and we have to make some strategic decisions. Let’s dive into some confidence pool advice to set our course for the week.

2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Strategy For Week 6

When setting up our strategy for making our weekly 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pool picks, we have to make sure we are adjusting for where we are in our current standings. Those of you at the top of your standings, again, stay the course.

Continue to do what you’re doing. I could offer some confidence pool advice and say not to take any unnecessary chances, but with such a long way to go, you keep doing you. If you find you have a couple of bad weeks in a row, then we will adjust. For now, just keep killing it.

For those who are in the middle or back half of the standings of your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pools, we are going to continue taking a few extra chances. While I kinda thought the Steelers would win last week, I knew that, with Justin Fields and Arthur Smith, it really could have gone either way.

The Steelers were only a 2.5-point favorite and there wasn’t heavy juice on the money line, so it presented itself as a good opportunity to go against the grain and for a decent point-total. We’ll be doing it again as we say hello to our Broncos this week.

NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Advice

Last week I told you the worst confidence pool advice I could give was to tell you it was going to be ok and you had plenty of time to make up ground. It wouldn’t have been the absolute worst though, because you do have enough time.

But you do still need to make some big moves right now. Not all sorts of crazy, but just enough to help you gradually move up to the top. So, maybe the best advice to give you right now for 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pool is that slow and steady wins the race.

It's like finding the right value picks in DFS. Value doesn’t necessarily mean cheap. It means you’re getting the biggest bang for your buck. So, making a reasonable but contrarian pick and putting it at a fairly high, but not too crazy, spot provides with you a potentially strong value in your contests.

If everyone rides the Chargers coming off a bye this week, I want to try and go against the grain like we did with the Cowboys last week. The -155 money line isn’t all that juiced and the game is in Denver. I think it’s worth a shot this week and if it doesn’t hit, we’re not going to lose much ground as I don’t think anyone is putting this game above a 10.

Now, let’s get to the rest of my picks for Week 6 of your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pools.
