2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Strategy & Advice: Week 13 Predictions

NFL Week 13 is here which means it’s time to make those picks for our 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools. 

It all begins with the three-game Thanksgiving Day slate and then we get the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders for a Black Friday game for the first time ever. Gotta love the NFL trying to expand its coverage, right? OK, I’m being sarcastic.

All it does is make fantasy football decisions more difficult as the week’s games get front-loaded and make it tougher to decide on players nursing injuries. Just ask those who have been leaning on David Montgomery this season.

Last week got off to a bit of a rocky start as the Browns upset the Steelers and we had a confidence level of seven on the game. We also had high levels for Washington who lost to Dallas and Houston who stumbled against Tennessee. Beyond that, it was a pretty good showing for our final picks. 

As we begin another week and dive into confidence pool advice and our NFL Week 13 Confidence Pool picks, we’re going to keep it simple. Upsets are just a fact of life at this point and due to the fact that I am not winning my confidence pool this year, I am going to lean into the chalk and just try to win a week or two here at the end.

2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Strategy For Week 13

I don’t mean to sound like a broken record, but the general confidence pool advice and strategy is relatively the same from here on out. Where are you in your overall standings of your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pool? Obviously, that matters. 

If you find yourself sitting near the top of your standings, my standard confidence pool advice is to simply lean into the chalk. We are seeing a lot of favorites walk away with the win over the past few weeks, so keep your place in the standings and lean into it.

Middle of the pack? You’re going to have to continue taking some chances now if and only if you feel like you can move up and finish in the money. Be honest with yourself. Make an objective assessment. If you truly think you can move into the money, maybe increase the confidence level of some of the less-chalky picks and see if you can move up. If you don’t think so, then keep reading as we can alter our strategy.

If you’re at the bottom, you should check your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pool rules and see if there is a second-half prize or even a weekly payout to chase. With everyone near the top leaning into the chalk, your chances of moving that far up are probably pretty slim.  If you can steal a weekly payout or two over the next few weeks, chances are you can finish the season in the black.

NFL Pick Em Confidence Pools Advice

Not much more to add to my current confidence pool advice other than what you just read. At the top, you want to wait for some real good games to try and make a move with a contrarian pick. 

In the middle, it’s about adjusting your confidence levels on some picks that could go either way – maybe games like the Bills/49ers if Brock Purdy plays or Chargers/Falcons. Even Steelers/Bengals fits the bill.

If you don’t think you can finish top-10 then it’s time to look for other ways to make money off the pool. Most have a weekly payout, so lean into it. Here are my picks for Week 13 of your 2024 NFL Pick Em Confidence pools.
