NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Saturday Playbook

Luka fell short of a third-straight 70 FP performance due to a 36-point shellacking of the Wizards last time out. He still finished with a 21-10-10 triple-double despite playing less than two minutes in the final quarter. He gets another fantastic matchup against the Raptors who rank 22nd in DefRtg. 

SGA has 60+ FP upside any time he takes the court. Tonight, he gets a matchup against the Pelicans 29th ranked defense. He has averaged just 30 minutes in his last two outings due to blowouts, so we need the Pels to stay competitive against this elite Thunder squad for SGA to find his ceiling. 

Brunson and Towns are both listed questionable tonight. If only one of them misses, the other is one of the top options on the slate. If they both miss, we will be jamming in as many Knicks as possible. If they both play, I have plenty of interest in each against an improved but still middling Detroit defense. 

Murray is listed questionable tonight, but if he suits up his sub-$8K price tag on both sites is very intriguing. While Murray is partly to blame for the Nuggets sluggish start to the season, he gets an elite matchup against the worst defense in the NBA.

Malcolm Brogdon is out for this one, and we should see Carrington slide into the starting lineup for him. He is too cheap for his role against the 20th-ranked Nuggets defense if that is indeed the case. 

McBride is a viable salary saver regardless of whether Brunson and/or Towns play. If Brunson sits, McBride is the top value option on the slate, as he likely starts in place of the star PG in that scenario. 

With Kevin Durant sidelined again, Booker will be the primary option in the Suns offense. Booker owns a 30.9% usage rate with KD off the floor this season, giving him an elite ceiling despite the tough matchup.  

Kyrie gets a great matchup against a bad Raptors defense. The price tag has sunk back down to an acceptable level with Luka back in the lineup. 

Herro is leading the Heat with a 27.5% usage rate this season, while shooting a career-best 46.7% from the floor and 42% from long range. He drained an absurd 9 three-pointers last time out against the Lakers. 

Denver is a below-average defense and is playing at a top-five pace this season, making them one of the best teams to target for fantasy production. Poole has a great chance to exceed 30 minutes with Malcolm Brogdon out for this one. 

Boston is mostly healthy for this one (with the exception of Horford resting on a back-to-back), but they get a solid pace-up spot against the Grizzlies. They are just a half-point shy of the Nuggets slate-leading implied team total. 

Coulibaly has a chance to find a few more shots with Malcolm Brogdon and Kyle Kuzma out for this game. He gets a home matchup against the Nuggets, who rank 5th in pace and just 20th in DefRtg.  

We have pending news from Denver and New York that could change things, but currently the salary saving options are pretty thin. Robinson should play mid-20s minutes and is a significant threat from long range. He needs to get hot and make his threes to post a tournament-worthy score. 

The price tag is on the rise given Barnes' incredible production since returning from injury. The matchup is not ideal and that leaves Barnes as only a large-field GPP option, but the 60 FP upside is undeniable.

Jimmy Buckets has seen a dip in production this season, but he is appropriately priced for his current role. We should be able to count on mid-30 minutes in a strong matchup against the Suns, who are missing Kevin Durant. 

At worst, Hart has a solid price tag in a solid matchup, with a chance at 40+ minutes of playing time. If Brunson (Q) and/or Towns (Q) happen to sit, Hart and multiple teammates would be the top values on the slate.

Bridges was on pace to play every second of a game that was mostly decided early in the third quarter last time out. Coach Thibs mercifully pulled Bridges and several other starters with less than 2 minutes to play in a 20+ point game. In addition to elite playing time, Brunson and Towns are listed questionable for this game. Bridges would likely take on a larger role in the offense if either or both were to sit this one out. 

Dort is a better value on FD, where his stocks count for 3 points. He is a decent value on a slate without much currently (pending DEN and NYK news). 

With Brogdon out for this game, there are minutes to go around. Champagnie saw 29 minutes last game where Brogdon played three quarters before leaving with an injury. Champagnie should have a solid role tonight and comes at near-minimum price.

The ceiling remains elite while Chet Holmgren is sidelined. It has been a bit since we have seen the elite 60 FP upside, but it is still there. A matchup against the Pelicans 29th ranked defense might help unlock it. 

Ingram gets one of the worst possible matchups against the Thunder's top-ranked defense. However, with Zion Williamson still out, we cannot overlook Ingram's ceiling for GPPs. Ingram returned from a five-game injury absence to play 36 minutes against the Suns. 

Porter is appropriately priced in an elite matchup if Murray (Q) and Gordon (Q) play. If either/both sit, Porter should have a larger role in the offense and would be a strong value.

Gordon is listed questionable for tonight after playing three games in his return from a four-week injury. He played over 30 minutes in each of his last two games, so I have no concerns if he is active. The price tag is a tick too cheap in an elite matchup if AG is able to go.

O'Neale found his way into the starting lineup with Kevin Durant and Ryan Dunn out last game. KD remains out, while Dunn is listed questionable for tonight. If Dunn also misses again, Royce would be a solid value option. 

Highsmith has a better price on DK, where he is under $4,000. He has averaged over 27 minutes per game since being inserted into the starting lineup last month. If news from DEN or NYK opens up better value I am happy to pivot off of Highsmith, but for now he is a solid option on DK. 

I am not sure what needs to be said here. Jokic is an absolute beast having the best season of his career (a career that already includes three MVP awards). Joker can smash in any matchup, but this one against the league's worst defense is particularly exciting. If the Wizards can hang around, the upside is insane.

Bam is grading out as a strong value on both sites for me. The Suns rank just 17th in DefRtg for the season and will be without Kevin Durant again. The usage is down a few ticks from previous seasons and earlier this season, but an uptick in assists and steals have helped Bam maintain solid fantasy production. 

Porzingis rested last night on the front half of the back-to-back, while Al Horford is resting tonight on the back half. Zinger posted a line of 26-9-2 in just 29 minutes in his last game against the Pistons. Boston has the second-highest implied team total of the night against the fast-paced Grizzlies. 

Poeltl is listed questionable tonight, but I want some exposure if he is active. Poeltl is having the best season of his career, with career-highs in usage and rebounding rates. Impressively, his production has remained steady even with Scottie Barnes' return to the lineup.  

Bagley was inserted into the starting lineup last game in favor of Jonas Valanciunas. He played 24 minutes and posted over 30 FP, while JoVal played just 12 minutes. It is hard to know if we see a similar rotation tonight, but if Bagley draws the start again he is strong value option.
