NBA Game Totals

Top Tier Core Plays

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets

Denver plays really, really slow, and we have the best player in the league in the best pace up spot on the board. Jokic averages 1.54 FP/min with their normal starting five playing, which is finally where Denver is. He’s taken 26 and 32 shots in the last two games and has shot worse than 35% in each, which goes to show what the ceiling COULD be if some more shots fell.

Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks have ruled Kyrie Irving out and that pushes Doncic to the forefront. He averages 1.7 FP/min without Irving this year and has put up 70+ DKP in three of his last four games.

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

Embiid practiced in full on Sunday and was seen participating shootaround, basically solidifying that he’s going to suit up here. Embiid has averaged 1.82 FP/min along with a 37.6% USG rate. Washington is dead last in DRtg this year and is averaging 78 DKP/game in two meetings against the Wizards.

Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers

There is a case to made for Haliburton and for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander but the match-up for Indiana and closer spread kept me on Haliburton. Haliburton has put up 63+ DKP in three of four games and is in the highest game total on the board. The Pistons are 7th in pace and 24th in defense, making them a prime candidate to target players against. They’ve lost 19 games in a row.

Mid-Tier Core Plays

Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs (GPPs)

I labeled him a GPP option because he’s an elite one, but I’m not all too interested in using him in cash games. He put up 60+ DKP in his first start at center putting up a 20-20 game. This is an awful spot but he has a 30% USG and averages 1.4 FP/min.

Desmond Bane, Memphis Grizzlies

Bane’s been really, really good lately outside of a game against the Timberwolves, who rank number one with a BULLET defensively. He scored 27+ points in the three games prior and topped 45 DKP in four straight. Bane averages 1.3 FP/min and has a 30.8% USG without Marcus Smart this year. Dallas is 23rd in DRtg and 8th in pace, which is a big pace up opportunity for Memphis.

Fred VanVleet, Houston Rockets

FVV went through a stretch where he just wasn’t shooting the ball enough to pay off value, but we’ve now seen 14+ shots in three straight games as the assists have fallen. If we get both of things working at the same time against the Spurs, who are the 4th fastest team and 4th worst defense then we could see 50+ DKP like we saw out of him the last time these two played each other. Love his FD price.

DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls

Point-DeRozan has been out to play lately! They’ve needed him to be the playmaker and we’ve gotten 10 assists in two of three. He’s put up 42+ DKP in three straight and four of five, we just need the Bulls to keep this game close for DDR to pay off this price.

Rudy Gobert, Minnesota Timberwolves

It’s impossible to ignore what Rudy Gobert is doing right now. With or without Edwards he’s been dominant recently. He has 48+ DKP in four of five games and has back-to-back games with 20 rebounds. He’s a 1.14 FP/min producer with Anthony Edwards and 1.16 without him.

Jalen Williams, Oklahoma City Thunder

Jalen Williams has been really good lately, notching 39+ DKP in three of four games. Lu Dort has been ruled out and Williams has a 24.9% USG rate and 1.01 FP/min without him this year. Utah is 25th in DRtg this year and is without it's best rim protector in Walker Kessler.

Value Tier Core Plays

Killian Hayes, Detroit Pistons

Since being put back into the starting lineup, Hayes has looked sharp. He's averaged north of one FP/min posting 30 MPG and 31 DKP/game. He gets an insane pace-up environment here against the Pacers who also rank dead last in DRtg this year. Getting Bojan Bogdanovic has not impacted him at all.

Derrick Jones Jr., Dallas Mavericks

After a dip in production for a few weeks, Dallas has been riddled with injuries and it's led to Jones Jr. playing a lot more and being incredibly production. Over the last four games, he's averaged 31.5 minutes and 30.1 DKP while shooting 43% from three, which is now 40% for the year. Love this spot for Jones Jr.

Nick Richards, Charlotte Hornets

Look at what we've gotten from Richards in each of the last two games. 26 and 24 DKP respectively and Mark Williams is listed as doubtful. Richards sits at 1.09 FP/min and in ALL five games he's played at least 20 minutes, he's given us 20+ DKP.

Isaiah Hartenstein, New York Knicks

.95 FP/min is solid and we know he's going to get good run with Mitchell Robinson out. We saw Hartenstein come into their last game when Robinson went down and grabbed 16 rebounds while playing 29 minutes. I think Hartenstein has the lowest floor in terms of scoring of the three but it is possible his minutes' ceiling is the highest.
