We have a 10-game MLB DFS main slate on Friday, June 21st, and it includes Coors Field as the Washington Nationals are in Colorado. We have elite pitching at the top of the position, but some of them are in very tough matchups.

Some of the names at the top of pitchers include George Kirby, Carlos Rodon, and Chris Sale. Let's dive into some of our favorite MLB DFS options on the mound and at the dish in today's MLB DFS playbook.

MLB DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, June 21

MLB Weather Today, 6/21

There’s a chance the rainstorm in New York completely misses the stadium and this game plays dry and there’s a chance there’s a downpour that causes a delay. We’ll check back with this closer to lineup lock.

There’s a chance we get a delay here, but that shouldn’t impact us much because we don’t want to use pitchers here anyways.

MLB DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

I like Coors Field, but as much as I did when the Dodgers were in town. That being said, the Nationals have a monstrous 5.8 implied runs today to lead the way. Taking shots at SP today is the name of the game, especially on two-pitcher sites where you can't simply plug George Kirby and move on with the rest of your lineup.

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

George Kirby, Seattle Mariners

Of the top pitching options, I like George Kirby above the rest. His matchup against Miami is elite as they rank 28th in OPS and wOBA and 26th in wRC+. Kirby has really found his stride allowing 2 ER or less in four straight starts, posting 18+ DKP in all four and 25+ in three of four.

Chris Paddack, Minnesota Twins

Don't let his last outing cloud our judgment on the spot and matchup. It’s a great one. Oakland has a 26.6% K-rate and rank 25th in OPS against righties this year. Paddack’s been really unlucky this year pitching to a 5.25 ERA but a 3.91 xFIP and 3.89 SIERA. I really like him in this spot.

Kutter Crawford, Boston Red Sox

This is a very interesting spot because we have a team that struggles mightily with right-handed pitching but it’s an elite ballpark to hit in. There is legitimate upside using Crawford who’s striking out over a batter per inning and has 8+ in back-to-back starts against a Reds offense posting a 26.3% K-rate vs. RHP themselves. He just needs to keep the ball IN the yard. That’s been biting him lately.

Landon Knack, Los Angeles Dodgers

Today’s biggest favorite in Vegas is Landon Knack and the Los Angeles Dodgers. They face their Los Angeles foes and the Angels really struggle versus right-handed pitching. Knack has looked solid in four starts, he just hasn’t missed many bats. That said, he has 4+ Ks in three of his four starts. He has a lot of win equity in this matchup and is a great price.

DJ Herz, Washington Nationals

Let's take some shots today. I understand what I’m recommending here. The Nationals are in Coors Field, but Herz misses BATS. Who knows if his stuff will hold up in the thick, Colorado air, but Herz is coming off 13 strikeouts in just his third major league start and has been an elite strikeout artist at every level of his career. Colorado has a 23% K-rate against left-handed pitchers this year and a 26% mark against them in June.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

Highest Expected Run Totals

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles are incredibly interesting today because they are facing a guy who hasn't pitched at any level higher than Double-A. They're top-four in every single offensive category against right-handed pitching and they're first in ISO. Henderson has dominated RHP with a .967 OPS, .332 ISO,. and .410 wOBA.

Royce Lewis, Minnesota Twins

Mr. No Slump is Mr. I Hit Home Runs Every Day Ending in Day. Lewis has homered nine times in 15 games and has a .377 AV, .925 SLG%, 1.376 OPS and now faces a pitcher with a 50%+ flyball rate. Not great for Joey Estes today.

Shohei Ohtani, Teoscar Hernandez & Will Smith, Los Angeles Dodgers

It's hard to just pick one, so I'll just simply list them all. Smith has a 1.140 OPS, Hernandez sits at .936 and Ohtani's at .821. Both Smith and Hernandez have ISO north of .300 as well.

Lane Thomas & Jesse Winker, Washington Nationals

Although Lane Thomas has not been good against right-handed pitching, but homered against one on Thursday and now gets the Coors Field bump. Jesse Winker, however, has been great against righties. He leads the Nationals with a .859 OPS this year, which is getting close to what he was doing during his days on the Reds.

Carlos Correa, Minnesota Twins

Correa is among the hottest hitters in the game batting .488 with a near 1.300 OPS over his last 10 games and is now hitting .312 against right-handed pitching on the year because of it.

Andy Pages, Los Angeles Dodgers

Pages hits lefties extremely well posting a .556 SLG%, .952 OPS, and .409 wOBA on the year. Patrick Sandoval has been crushed by right-handed hitters specifically this season.

Ceddanne Rafaela, Boston Red Sox

This guy has been crazy guy. His ceiling is insanely high as he has a lot of power and speed. He has an .818 OPS and .203 ISO along with a .354 wOBA. Righties have hit 12 HR off Andrew Abbott and now he has to navigate their lineup IN Great American Ballpark.
