Week 13 presents us with a set of double delights as the Rays are at Baltimore versus the Orioles, the Braves are at Philly versus the Phillies, and the Nats are in Chi-town to take on the Cubbies for the third double-header of the week. The double-header action, along with some other four-game series this week, provide us with some advantageous avenues to exploit as we head into Week 13 of the Fantasy Baseball season.

Interleague Schedule
Here is a look at which inter-league games are on the schedule for Week 13 highlighting which National League teams and players will benefit from the addition of the designated hitter to their lineup as well as who in the American League will be affected by the loss of the DH with game(s) on the road in a NL home ballpark.
NL Team’s Getting a DH
Braves @ Astros (3x Tuesday-Thursday) Astros are starting a righty in each game, so if the Braves follow suit from their earlier AL inter-league matchups LHH C Ryan Doumit would serve as the team’s designated hitter.
Dodgers @ Royals (3x Monday-Wednesday) Royals are starting two righties and a lefty. Hanley Ramirez could see a game or two at DH.
Pirates @ Rays (3x Monday-Wednesday) Rays starting two righties (Cobb and Archer) which should ensure that Ike Davis is in the lineup. Wednesday’s starter will be lefty ace David Price sending LHH Ike Davis to the bench and possibly Pedro Alvarez with Gaby Sanchez surely to be in the lineup Josh Harrison
AL Team’s Losing a DH
Indians @ DBacks (2x Tuesday-Wednesday) lefty Wade Miley on Tues so NIck Swisher (.174 vs LHP) will likely get the day off. Righty Chase Anderson starting Wednesday, Carlos Santana seems like the likely candidate to get day off here. The Indians play just five games in Week 13 so weekly league owners should sit Swisher and but may still want to start the hot-hitting Santana who had at least one hit in six of his last seven games going into Saturday’s game and was hitting .375 (9-for-24) with three home runs over that span.
Athletics @ Mets (2x Tuesday-Wednesday) Mets starting two righties (Colon and Wheeler) so RHH catcher Derek Norris, 1B Kyle Blanks (Update: Banks landed on 15-day DL Monday with a calf injury), IF/OF Stephen Vogt, and if anyone cares 2B Nick Punto likely odd men out.
Athletics @ Marlins (3x Friday-Sunday) Marlins starting two righties (DeSclafani and Eovaldi) and a lefty (rookie Heaney) again Derek Norris, Stephen Vogt (who is hitting .394 (13-for-33) with two home runs and nine RBI over his last 11 games), and Nick Punto could get the shaft Friday and/or Saturday while LHH Brandon Moss, John Jaso, and Alberto Callaspo should be expecting to rest on the seventh day of the week.

Loaded Lefty or Righty Matchups
Teams | Games vs LHP | Games vs RHP | Notes |
Angels | 1 | 4 | |
Braves | 0 | 6 | All 7 on the road with lopsided advantage for the lefty hitters on the Braves team |
DBacks | 1 | 4 | |
Orioles | 3 | 4 | All 7 at home |
Red Sox | 1 | 5 | All 6 on the road, with a 3-game weekend series in Yankee Stadium, and a LHH heavy BOS team gets to face 5 RHP this week |
White Sox | 3 | 4 | All 7 on the road both even more hitter/homer friendly then their home park |
Cubs | 1 | 5 | All 7 at home |
Reds | 1 | 6 | All 7 on the road, including a 4-game series in pitcher friendly AT&T Park for a team who owns 4th worst road OPS |
Indians | 2 | 3 | All 5 on the road with 3 in pitcher friendly Safeco |
Rockies | 1 | 6 | LHH Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson should see plenty of playing time this coming week while RHH Drew Stubbs and Brandon Barnes will get the shortend of the stick making wise to sit those two in weekly leagues. |
Tigers | 2 | 4 | All 6 on the road Minute Maid top 10 in HR/G, R/G, HR% for both LHH and RHH |
Astros | 2 | 3 | TBD; All 6 at home where the Astros rank 3rd in the AL in total HR |
Royals | 2 | 4 | All 6 at home-KC 4th lowest scoring team at home in the AL but own 2nd highest team BA in the AL vs RHP |
Dodgers | 1 | 6 | Lefty killer Scott Van Slyke will see even less playing time with 6 games vs RHP |
Marlins | 3 | 4 | 3 home games and 4 on the road in hitter friendly Citizens Bank Park |
Brewers | 3 | 3 | All 7 games at home. Rickie Weeks owns a .440 BA and 1.061 OPS at home compared to .111/.404 on the road |
Twins | 2 | 4 | RHH Josh Willingham is stuck in a 3-for-30 slump after Sunday's game |
Yankees | 2 | 3 | |
Mets | 2 | 4 | |
Athletics | 1 | 4 | see inter-leauge section above for what A's you may want to consider sitting this week |
Phillies | 1 | 6 | All 8 at home where Phillies own 3rd lowest team OPS among NL teams but so many games vs RHP do give LHH Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Domonic Brown, Ben Revere, and recently activated Cody Asche an edge in Week 13 not so much for John Mayberry Jr. and the Phillies all RHH catchers. |
Pirates | 2 | 5 | |
Padres | 0 | 6 | Great news for LHH Seth Smith but not the team as they own the worst team OPS vs RHP in MLB |
Mariners | 0 | 6 | |
Giants | 0 | 7 | LHH Gregor Blanco should see plenty of PT while you may want to consider sitting RHH OF Angel Pagan who has missed last two games due to sore back |
Cardinals | 3 | 4 | |
Rays | 2 | 5 | |
Rangers | 1 | 5 | All 6 at home |
Blue Jays | 3 | 4 | The Jays will play all 7 games at home in the Rogers Centre, which is the most homer friendly AL park since the start of the 2013 season. Maybe this will help revive a Toronto offense that went from the highest scoring team in MLB in the month of May to the third lowest in the AL in June. Runs scored ranking: Home-2nd in AL, Away-8th in the AL |
Nationals | 1 | 5 | All 7 on road in hitter friendly parks and with so many games vs RHP could set up for a good week for LHH Adam LaRoche as all 8 of his HR have come off of RHP |
