Today is the perfect situation to pass up on LeBron James by building a balanced roster. While LeBron is going to have a solid game, it will still be hard for him to reach value. Plus, there are so many quality options at all positions (well, maybe not shooting guard) that it is hard to fit them all in your lineup if you pay up for LeBron.
The point guard position is actually a good place to save money while still being able to get some quality talent. Jeff Teague is severely under priced as he'll put up big numbers today vs the Nets. However, Tony Parker is my favorite play of the day because the guy always plays great in playoffs and his price tag is ridiculously low. Would like Mike Conley a lot more if he was 100 percent healthy. Damian Lillard is a good GPP option, but a guy like Teague can put up similar fantasy points, while costing a lot less.
The shooting guard position is filled with solid low-tier options in Kyle Korver, Manu Ginobili, Danny Green, and C.J. McCollum. Korver is a good cash game option because the guy is consistent and will play 30-plus minutes. McCollum's fantasy value increased since he's going to start for the Blazers, which makes him a good value play. Evan Turner is a solid option on Fanduel as he has the best chance to finish as the top fantasy point producer at the position.
Kawhi Leonard is worth spending up for tonight as he does a bit of everything and usually shines in the playoffs (like the rest of the Spurs roster). Nicolas Batum and DeMarre Carroll are great mid-tier plays. However, I'm not a fan of Carroll's high price tag on Fanduel.
The power forward position is loaded with talent as Tm Duncan, Paul Millsap, and Zach Randolph are all great options tonight. I have nothing against Blake Griffin, but a guy like Tim Duncan can produce similar fantasy points as Griffin without the high price tag. LaMarcus Aldridge is a good GPP option, but his high price tag makes it hard to pay up for him in cash games. Millsap's shoulder injury is a bit worrisome, which is why I prefer Z-Bo over Millsap on Fanduel (plus Randolph is like $500 cheaper than Millsap on that site).
Spend up on centers tonight as DeAndre Jordan, Brook Lopez, and Marc Gasol are all worth the money tonight. Jordan is the most consistent player at the position, Lopez has shown the ability to put 40-plus points on a consistent basis, and Marc Gasol does a bit of everything and has a great matchup. Oh, and one last thing: GO GRIZZLIES!!
